Founding Fathers of Silicon Valley Give Up on California, Move to Texas
PJ Media ^ | 12/06/2020 | Victoria Taft

This is becoming an all-too-familiar refrain. XYZ Company pulls up stakes in California and expands or moves to Texas or Tennessee. But even for the arrogant California commissars in Sacramento, who have seen more than 13,000 companies leave on their watch in the last few years, this one has got to hurt.

It’s got to be a public relations gut punch for California Governor Gavin Newsom, who’s done little to retain all the companies bailing out of Silicon Valley because it’s too expensive to conduct business there.

The headquarters for one of the Founding Fathers of the Silicon Valley is pulling up stakes and leaving the Golden State.

Bill Packard and Dave Hewlett’s legacy company, Hewlett-Packard, is packing up “the garage” and moving to Texas.

GOODBYE

The garage is so revered that it’s listed on the state and national registered historical places.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise, split off from the hardware portion of the company in 2015, is moving its HQ to Houston.

But HPE’s move is particularly notable because Hewlett-Packard was one of the original Silicon Valley success stories, founded by partners Bill Hewlett and Dave Packard in a garage in Palo Alto 1939. In 2015, that company split into HPE and hardware maker HP Inc., which is not moving.

But even that company is reducing its footprint in California, consolidating its Bay Area sites to San Jose.

You’re right.

AND the people replacing them in California, foreigners (legal and illegal) are MORE liberal than the ones leaving.

I think all these moves to red states has been planned from beginning. They want all states blue. But what will happen to blue states when the blues leave

Another thing I’ve noticed is that they are doing their best to eliminate the middle class. They were succeeding very well until Trump.

Evil destroys.

“Impose a visa requirement on California entrants.”

Sarcasm today, but if the Dems in DC get their way, we may VERY WELL have exactly that in Texas, in the near future, although our government will have to quickly move out on it, or the Dems will simply flood us with ‘new voters’ from Amnesty.

Genuine tech talents aren't universally collectivist in outlook.

Collectivists like to assume the cloak of technology and worm their way into Chief Diversity Officer positions and media commentator roles, but there is nothing inherently bad about the producers who actually build things. Silicon Valley's immense productivity has attracted liberals like barnacles, but without a genuine capitalist wealth-generation engine at the heart of the companies all of these parasites would fall away very quickly.

The key for Texas is to welcome the wealth-generation engines but firmly reject the loud-mouthed barnacles. :)

HPE is largely EDS. So it’s really just moving home. Although “home” was gutted after the takeover.

HP Inc is more of the legacy Hewlett Packard with the hardware.

Like locust liberals ruin one healthy place and move onto another to do the same thing. They will bring their failed marxist thinking and politics to the great state of Texas and destroy it. If Texas can do it they would be smart to declare their independence, enforce their borders and immigration into the country, and adopt a state constitution that will be very hard to change by elected officials or the courts.

They will destroy Texas just like they did Colorado. BUILD THE WALL!! Don’t let liberal Californians in. Make room for conservative refugees though.

Tesla may also move to Texas.

The workers at these company give 90% plus to Democrats. They destroyed California and will destroy Texas. Then, like a plague of locusts, they’ll move on to another territory.

Georgia became a target when the movie industry types all relocated there for tax breaks. They leave the high taxes and then vote in politicians who favor high taxes. Democrats are stuck on stupid.

Will see these states go to crap as the trend continues and America a third world country in twenty years. Maybe sooner if the Biden steal is upheld. Essentially we’d have a foreign agent (perhaps our second in ten years but this one proven) sitting in the White House abs someone worse in Harris lined up to replace him.
