Dr. Anthony Fauci said Friday that he will assume the role of chief medical adviser to the White House in January.
Fauci, who is currently director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, was tapped by presumptive potential President-elect Joe Biden on Thursday to fill the job.
During an appearance Friday on NBC’s “Today” show Fauci said, “I said ‘yes’ right on the spot” after Biden asked him to assume the post.
Biden told CNN on Thursday he plans to issue a voluntary call for Americans to wear masks for the first 100 days of his potential administration.
On Friday, Fauci recounted that he told Biden mask-wearing may be required for longer than a symbolic 100 days.

When Trump is sworn in in January, 2021 first thing to do is fire Fauzi. He’s shown is true allegiance.
Trump should take this and say “ On the spot...you are fired!”
It’s a pay cut if he resigns from NIAID where he gets over 400k and max appointed job is close to 175k.

Back last March, it was wear a mask for 15 days. Now, nine months later it’s ‘wear a mask’ for 100 more days. Obviously, masks are no more than futile virtue signalling with no effect on the virus. No way, just no way.

Fauci was initially Trump’s Svengali (since Trump was not in favor of these drastic policies until he fell under the sway of Fauci) and now that he’s suppressed conservative votes and gotten the Dems back into power, which was really his goal, he’s getting his reward.
Eff your mask mandates. I’ve had enough. I would rather they come to my house and send me to my Creator.

Wrong question. It doesn’t matter what Biden thinks. His constituency is the upper middle class professionals living in the high cost suburbs. Biden is only doing what that constituency thinks is appropriate and justified. That constituency works predominantly from home, hasn’t suffered significant job loses, gets the groceries delivered from whole foods and amazon. They listen to Fauci and the CDC and believe everyone should wear a mask outside the home. Biden is only echoing that belief.
