What you saw in the video footage from the senate hearings yesterday was very coarse, not fully representative of what they can obtain from that footage. These systems are designed for arena security. They run autonomously and alert security when they recognize something wrong. They can do facial recognition from partial (masked or hooded) images, identify objects like knives or guns, have AI to spot anomalous human behavior like a person going from car to car in a stadium parking lot to find the car someone forgot to lock.
