Don't forget that before seat belt laws they just suggested that people buckle up.

Now in some states you will receive a $500 fine for not buckling up.

$116 in FL 10 years ago and they will pull you over just for the seat belt law if they see you without one. btdt. $10 here in MO and they don’t pull you over for it. Only give you the ticket if they pull you over for something else. btdt
