This good man will be remembered and missed.
Sad.
Thanks for posting this. A tribute by Thomas Sowell. What greater honor can a person ask?
Since hearing this sad news, I have had a sad heart. I loved listening to him on EIB!
Two great men, Herman Cain and Walter Williams the last 6 months....
God bless their family and friends with peace.
Good Sub.
Thanks. I was looking forward to reading Sowell’s tribute to his friend.
Hearing his voice was comforting, his words of intellect so strong and insightful. Rest in peace. I and my mom and and dad loved you. May you embrace in Heaven!
Yes he was a great American.
Condolences to family and friends of Walter. I heard him many times filling in for Rush. Many times talking reverently about Mrs. Williams. R.I.P., sir. love. Has he joined a spiritual battle? BLM.
And a fine tribute it is. From one great man who was good friends with another great man.
What a great eulogy from Mr. Sowell. Mr. Williams was a national treasure. He will be missed. May he RIP.
Both men, giants of contemporary thought
I remember one day when he was hosting for Rush, he had Connie with him on the show. The joking between the two of them going back and forth had me in stitches laughing for the duration of the show.
Amen to that! We lost a really great man today.
Yes, we lost one of our greatest today. I have read several of his books and always read his Townhall columns.
If I knew Walter Williams I would consider him my best friend too...
Who can possibly replace them, and Rush and Trump, among others when the time comes?
“I gave Mrs Williams golf cleats and a shovel for Christmas.”
“I never let Mrs Williams look me in the eyes. You never let the help look you in the eyes.”
(When it came to selling organs.). “ Mrs. Williams would never give my organs away... Oh wait. You mean she could get 10,000 for my heart”.
(To which his daughter called in and said. )
“You’d have to have a heart to sell first.”
What a great wit he had. I really enjoyed his work.
My heartfelt condolences to you and his family.
RIP for a great American. He will be sorely missed. Condolences to his family.
