Just hope he follows through. Many of his high profile twitter vows were never followed through on. Eg last year he tweeted that he would designate Antifa a terrorist organization. It never happened. To the contrary, DOJ recently told Sen Pail they’re not investigating the funding of the Antifa thugs who swarmed him in the streets of DC

Good! Trump can force this as part of an authorization bill. I wonder if that in itself will accomplish what we all hope it would? It seems to me that there needs to be some recognition that a platform becomes a public forum, some extension of basic civil rights, fair use doctrine, etc. Maybe this is part of, and this is where I think Trump could’ve acted along time ago, saying that all government agencies will no longer use Facebook, Twitter, YouTube unless and until they agree to a fairness doctrine, non-censorship. The government, by using or not using those platforms, carry a lot of weight, without writing laws. Trump really could’ve done this year’s ago.

"Nobody needs social media anyway. It was better before."

The communists absolutely need the existence of a controlled social media... It is the ultimate propaganda and/or thought control system that all tyrants have wet dreams over...
For example, Josef Stalin could easily have padded his head-count during all those purges far beyond that paltry 100-million number he accomplished...

There was a time when something akin to "social media" would have been correctly identified as "hive mentality"...
Today's form of social media supports that correction...

This final victory of communism over freedom & liberty in the U.S. is due, in large part, to the well-conditioned hive mentality of the blissfully grazing American sheeple...

I’m good at playing stupid. In fact it is my natural tendency. Nevertheless I’ll ask the question: In terms of civil law, what makes FR any different than FB?

It should have been done in 2017. Too little, too late.

I assume that not playing stupid you have an answer or group of which might satisfy the question, no?

Unfortunately, I was never able to play stupid because everyone always told me I was the smartest person they’d ever met... could you give me a few tips /sarc off/

Ha! I am genuinely interested in an answer. Let us together see if one is forthcoming. FR is a great resource in that respect, but has its share of stupid cranks.

No liking...
Great point. Instead there’s intelligent discussion.

Plus a lot of us are old and grouchy. We don't like nuthin.
