Near Easton or Fowler?
Thank you Amy for sharing this memorial and photo. I have tears running despite only a weekend acquaintance. Asking God to please send comfort and peace to all who love Sheila Robinson. In Jesus precious Name.
Due to Covid, there are many rules and regulations. They have a 20 person limit on number of attendees. They told Jim, if 25 came, the extra five would not be locked out.
The gates to the cemetery are locked and you need an appointment or be attending a funeral to be let in.
They only allow you 30 minutes for the services. We goofed and overstayed our limit. We were there for an hour.
The pastor was great and the flowers were beautiful.
My continued prayers for you Jim.
That is pretty much my story as well. Married at 17 and 19 and both quite innocent by the standards of today. Grew up together and experienced a whole new world together. The sad part comes when one must go and the other must stay. Jim and Sheila will be reunited in God’s time. Love is eternal.
Thank you, JustAmy, for the photo. Most especially, thank you for being there to support Jim and his family. Rest in peace, Sheila.
Thanks for sharing the story of how you met. Love the photos of the two of you as a young couple in love!
Thanks so much, Amy.
Jim’s too humble to admit it, but he and Sheila built a legacy that has literally influenced generations and bridged international borders. How were they to know, at first kiss, that the Almighty had chosen them for His work? May the joy Sheila brought to Jim’s life and his faith in Jesus Christ sustain Jim and his work still to do here on earth. And may Sheila rest in peace, content with a life well lived, and a love well done, until she and Jim are reunited again.
Amen.
Sounds like You had a perfect plan even thou it may not have seemed that way at the moment. I’ve had similar first words but the result didn’t last as long.
Hang in the Sir, I know it’s hard at first but slowly things will get better. I have been through the loss of My Spouse. They are still with Us but in a better place than We are and They are no longer hurting.
Jim, You know We are here if You need Us, day or night.
RIP. 🙏❤
There are dysfunctional families.
There are bad families.
And then The FReeper Family was set out to confound them All by doing all 3 things at the same time.;)
Thank You for Posting that. Very nice and deeply meaningful.

Those are STUPID Rules ! Good grief that is just absurd. Families have enough to deal with at times like these.
It makes me so angry. There should have been tons of us there to surround Jim with love and support. I hate what this virus is doing to people who have to travel these hard times without a full support system.
Thank God you were there for him.
It’s actually a song which brought me ‘great’ comfort when a family member passed on whom I deeply loved......
It’s very moving

Between Kerman and Fresno...
Dear Jim, I love the story of the young love you and Sheila shared, and how you met. I apologize, I was too busy over Thanksgiving, and somehow missed this thread until today. I could give a good excuse, which I think you would appreciate, but this is about you and Sheila, not me.
I am so sorry to hear of your loss of your beloved. I cannot say that I understand how you feel...yet. The love of my life is still with me, and after a hard day of work, is napping on the couch beside me.
Thank you so much for all you and Sheila have done for America, for our most wonderful country. By providing Free Republic as a forum and news source, so many of us have a place to turn. I cannot thank you enough. I wake with you and FR in the morning, and say my goodnight prayers with FR almost every night. Nary a day has gone by (for the last 20+ years) that I haven’t checked FR many, many times throughout my day.
My heart is with you. I know the days ahead will be very hard.
Thank you, Jim and Sheila!
Thank You !!!
