Destroying ballots before 22 months is illegal. Everyone knows there aren't enough legal ballots to get the numbers in a recount. They would have to use the obviously fraudulent ones (filled in with same pen, or other evidence). They would not be allowed to feed ballots multiple times in a legimate recount. The PTB will allow a recount as long as the recount is done fraudulently and ballots are not inspected.
But in theory the ballots are sitting in boxes and have not been destroyed. That would at least allow a fraudulent (e.g. observers kicked out of the room) recount.

Yesterday I was thinking about the VERY same thing. Free Republic is standing alone. After the election recently, I wanted all news to just GO AWAY!
I stopped looking for a whole week. Saddest week of my life in a LONG while. I mourn for my country.
But After this time of reflection, I came back and saw, where everyone else was giving up, Free Republic and FEeepers have been fighting back.
So yesterday, after that thought, I donated $50 to the FReeperthon.
Doesn't seem like much, but it's a lot to me, and I also give monthly, and have for years.
So my point is...
At 10:00 it was over and then the glitches came in.
The mammoth vote for Trump was so big he overwhelmed even Biden's edge. That forced the rats to go fast and loose and where and when they started screwing up and we caught it and also gave us cause to catch the rest as well.
The judges are afraid to take the cases.

Imagine you are a state rep. and must decide to certify elections/electors or not. There will certainly be immense pressure and/or resistance to overturn the vote in which roughly half of your constituents will hate your guts no matter how you choose. It will require guts and a backbone.
Some swing states may disagree on the slate of electors and send an R slate AND a D slate, in which case none are accepted by congress...which leads to neither Biden nor Trump with the magic 270. Which leads to each state's congressional delegations casting 1 vote...Rs win 26 to 23/24.

The 5-2 ruling was the poll watching case that reversed the ruling that Rep. watchers must be allowed within 6 feet. The ruling last night was unanimous. The "with prejudice" ruling was 5-2 meaning the two Republicans voted that the case could be bought back again but were overruled.
