We know a couple who run a 200 seat club in Beverly MA that has live blues and
rock. “No seat is more than 20 feet
from the stage”. Great acoustics and
comfortable (seating etc).It has been
closed since March. For awhile they ran
drive-in concerts one town over (pay
by the carload) though local authorities shut it down. Other drive in places
allowed elsewhere.
The best places have been allowed to
do is put up tents in parking lots
and hold small scale shows. Place in
Beverly has no lot etc. And with cold weather coming that is ending.
Bars without food have been closed all
along. Places with food like an
Applebee’s must stop serving at 9:30 pm.

thought they’d never end—we’d sing and

I branched out into bluegrass about nine years ago after over thirty years playing in R&R hobby bands. Western Washington has (had) a very vibrant bluegrass community where it seemed like there were endless opportunities to perform, or just jam.
All gone now thanks to ControllaVirus paranoia.
