It is clear that unless Trump can pull a rabbit out of a hat, that the Dems have stolen this one. This is a great crime, a high crime dare I say. But what are we to do?
I look to MacArthur and his departure/escape from Corregidor. It was clear the Island would fall to the Japanese, and MacArthur announced that he and his family intended to "share the fate of the garrison". Roosevelt knew better, and while Ike had his misgivings - "I cannot help thinking that we are disturbed by editorials and reacting to 'public opinion' rather than to military logic." - FDR's effective Chief of Staff was "certain we must get MacArthur out, as being worth 'five Army corps' ".
So MacArthur escaped. To Joseph Goebbels, MacArthur was a "fleeing general", while Benito Mussolini labeled him a coward. FDR issued a public statement saying I know that every man and woman in the United States admires with me General MacArthur's determination to fight to the finish with his men in the Philippines. But I also know that every man and woman is in agreement that all important decisions must be made with a view toward the successful termination of the war. Knowing this, I am sure that every American, if faced individually with the question as to where General MacArthur could best serve his country, could come to only one answer.
So....is it wise, to give up everything if this is stolen by Biden et al, to accept as fate the fall of the American experiment? Shall we be lectured to by putzes like this NeverTrumper, and just wait for TEOTWAWKI? I think Mac would recommend we give it our all, and if we are surrounded, then we escape/regroup and...well...you know how it ended...
