I always liked Michael Crichton's books, though the movies made from them have been hit or miss. I liked Benjamin Bratt from both his role in the early "Law & Order," shows and in, "The Great Raid." I generally like Ridleys Scott's work as well, so I watched the A&E "Andromeda Strain," with a lot of interest...it got off to a great start, and had pretty high production value throughout, but I was heavily annoyed by the sneaking in of enviro claptrap as well as the aforementioned subtle lionization of a character's sexuality which was entirely irrelevant to the plot.
I see your point. Both enviro claptrap and extraneous sexuality content annoy me.
I think Benjamin Bratt is a real cutie; I watched “Law & Order” for years. Detective Logan, Chris Noth, was my favorite, and then he turned up in “The Rough Riders,” which was super fun.
