Donald Trump Jr. Rips Georgia Senate Runoff Boycott
NewsMax ^ | November 23, 2020 | Marisa Herman

Posted on 11/23/2020 9:57:13 PM PST by familyop

Donald Trump Jr. slammed attorney L. Lin Wood for asking Republican Georgia voters to withhold their votes during the upcoming runoff election, which will determine what party controls the Senate. In a Monday tweet, Trump Jr. told GOP voters to “IGNORE” people calling for a boycott on voting for Georgia Republican Sens. Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue.

What are you smoking? This thread from the get-go has not been about the Nov 3 election, but about the Jan. runoffs, in particular Don Jr's telling Lin Wood to stuff it with his calls to GA conservatives to boycott the vote. You've made it abundantly clear you side with the latter against the former.

"No you pathetic fool..."

I can think of no better example of "pathetic fool" than an alleged 2A supporter & alleged Georgian who advocates giving up in despair and boycotting the vote because "Voting doesn't count" and thus is willing & happy to see the Constitution dismembered, including ALL of our 2A rights.

"But I’m still telling you to STFU and stay out of GA politics"

You are the one who needs to STFU. In case you haven't noticed, the GA runoffs affect the immediate + foreseeable future of the entire nation. If you want to throw us all under the bus, that's your choice. But you have no right to tell the rest of us, who DO care about the future of all 50 states, *including* *GA* - to STFU about something that WE at least actually care about.

In spite of you, we will continue to give to 2A activists, Right To Life activists, directly to the Perdue & Loeffler campaigns bypassing the GOP NRSC, and anyone else who is traveling to GA, trying their hardest to save those 2 seats.

I expect we'll all see photos of you in the near future, as you'll be the one "welcoming" them at the State Line with a big sign saying "Go home! Stay the F out of our politics".

I always heard it was an estimated 11 to 12 million. I'll have to go look up references.

In any case, that plus the deficit + Reagan's signing a major pro-Abort law as CA Gov, have been sufficient for some Purer Than Thou conservatives to call him a RINO. Just as some have said Trump is a RINO (Coulter?) for not putting every single thing he had into building the Wall from Day One.

Reagan signed off on the abortion law, because it had
language in it that forbade abortions except when it
presented a threat to the life of the mother.

From that day forth, every abortion was classified due
to a health issue with the mother.

I believe it also put limits on partial birth abortion.

Reagan himself classified it was the worst legislation
he every signed. He regretted it.

Never mind that what he signed should have outlawed
all but a few abortions per year.

Here’s a big clue to what transpired.

Reagan was promised there would only be about 1 million people
take advantage of the bill he wound up signing.

Nearly three times that many signed on.

Seldom mentioned were the new laws that put employers
under the gun for knowingly hiring illegal aliens.

That’s what we were told. I think Reagan understood it
that way. He voiced that thought in public.

I thought it was only for the 3rd trimester?

But in any case, Reagan always said it was his biggest regret. As I recall, the CA legislature passed it in numbers large enough to override a veto if he'd gone that route.

At about the same time COLO, a GOPe-majority legislature, passed one even worse than CA's, allowing unrestricted abortions up to the moment of birth.

Trivia Q: Do you know what Ike in retirement said were his two biggest regrets? Warren and Brennan. Again, they were the result of awful advice from advisers who he wrongly trusted. Similar to Reagan's case.

You're right about the official number being about 3 million illegals who signed the amnesty paperwork. But I believe the guesstimates as to the actual # of illegals who entered during the 70s & 80s were several times that. Not everyone signed the paperwork. No doubt many were suspicious of a bait and switch if they came out of hiding to talk to a govt bureaucrat.

As an analogy, if a one-party Dem Govt announced next year that "everyone who likes their guns can keep their guns ... forever, but for now we're just asking every gun owner to ID yourselves to us so we know who you are, just for record-keeping, for metrics, you know, boring bureaucratic stuff like that!" --- who thinks for a minute they'd get a near 100% response from gun owners?

I will likely vote. I don’t want to give the feckless GA GOP an excuse for failing to confront Stacey Abrams’ 750,000 absentee ballots.

But thanks for asking. I will say the communication I’ve had with my state house rep Gilligan and state sen Dolezal, including phone conversations, has been quite dispiriting. I guess my last best hope is that their apparent indifference and inaction is cover for some coming heroic action.

Stacey Abrams is crowing she already has 750,000 absentee ballot applications. I can see the future, and it’s the GA GOP with its thumb up its butt, again.

Yeah Ike and Reagan got blindsided. Sandra Day O’Connor.

Ike had been the last guy to address illegal immigration,
and he didn’t mince words. He kicked every illegal out he
could find.

Thirty years later, there were very few illegals in our
nation. There weren’t 11 to 12 million of them in country
back then.

Not until the 90s did those sorts of numbers show up.

We cleaned the slate from 1986 through 1990 or so. Then
others got the idea they could show up, and they would get
amnesty too. Didn’t work that way.

By the end of 2000, we had at least nine million illegals
in our nation, and a presidential candidate expressing his
desire to legalize all of them, and more.

Then all hell broke loose. Around 2002 to 2004, there was
a mass crossing of the United States southern border. Over
two million were crossing the border each year, with Time
magazine claiming it was 3.5 million. I never quite bought
into that number, but it wasn’t super wildly high.

By 2010 we had 10 million in country. Yep, that was the
line they went with, as if we would believe them. It was
closer to 20 million by that time, and more pouring over
every day.

We likely have 30 to 40 million here now, and many of them
voting > IMO. Hermandad Nacional was found guilty of
registering illegals around 2008, fined something like
$25 million, but was never forced to pay it.

After that, it was clear that our government wasn’t going
to have a problem with illegals voting, and who was going
to force the issue?

The Republican party in California rolled over around 1990-
2000, and played dead. They hadn’t had an original idea
in 20 years.

Simon in 2002 was our last gasp of fresh air, and the party
didn’t give him a dime to help him get elected that year.

He was outspent 10 to 1, and was still competitive.

He was a good guy.

Now we have the nation going the way of California unless
essentially a miracle takes place.

Sad times...

You need to dial it back a bit. I hope you’re around when the GA GOP allows my last vote to be stolen.

I did buy one final ticket to see the Harlem Globetrotters; maybe the Washington Generals will finally win one!

"You need to dial it back a bit."

Dial what back a bit? ..... Oh! Maybe you're referring to that tired old cliche that people who vote for people I don't think are Pure Enough are merely "Abused Wives" ("abuse me! hurt me!") and are just such pathetic excuses for a doormat? OK, you bet, I'll stop using that analogy .... oh wait a sec! It wasn't me who used that analogy in this thread. It was someone else. Hmm, who was it again? ...... LOLOL!

And speaking of Freepers using the Abused Wives excuse when they brag about not voting for conservatives who are only 99.5% Pure, it was discussed here - you might like to read it ....

"I hope you’re around when the GA GOP allows my last vote to be stolen."

Ok, but let's please not hasten the day of your last ever vote and my last ever vote, by not doing everything we can to overcome the inevitable cheating in Atlanta (as is ALWAYS the case in every major metro area), so as to save those Senate seats. And I'm rooting hard for BOTH seats to be saved, so as to provide the GOP majority with (at least a partial) Romney-Vaccine.

"...ticket to see the Harlem Globetrotters..."

Saw them in my school gym in Tokyo in around 1965-67. Most vivid memory was of the multi-colored striped outfit worn by Meadowlark. He was a real hoot!

Lol, 99.5% pure? They couldn’t even keep my vote from being stolen. But Rep. Gilligan’s office will help me get unemployment assistance while she’s strangely out of town. No kidding, that was the last form email I got from my GAState House Rep on Nov 21. As for my Congressional representation, I’m now represented by a Democrat, even my county voted 70%-30% for Trump, all because of fraud allowed for by a consent decree agreed to by GOP commisioners in a neighboring county.

"They couldn’t even keep my vote from being stolen."

You would do well to remember this old saying: "Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity".

Conservatives completely underestimate the naivete and stupidity of the GOP establishment.

I understand how one can look at their incredible screw-ups and believe the only possible explanation is that they are traitors & turncoats, that they've been bribed somehow. But I've known a lot of these people, and that hasn't been true with any of them.

The type of stupidity I witness is not necessarily an IQ-related type of stupidity. It's more of a Social Stupidity if you will, strongly related to Naivete.

In a nutshell, the Dems are Lucy holding the football, and the Republicans are Charlie Brown believing her lies yet again.

Just a few examples that come to mind ....

Putting trust in the word of a Democrat legislator who had lied to them before, the Colo GOP after the 2000 Census, with a GOP Governor, a solid-majority GOP Statehouse, and a State Senate which HAD been GOP majority for years but had just recently flipped to a 1-vote Dem margin, completely blew it and let the Dems bamboozle them into being forced into a redistricting map that was a gawdawful gerrymandered 100% pro-Democrat map, instead of the fair bipartisan one that the GOP had been working on with the Dems and had been led to believe right up til the end was just a tweak or 2 short of perfection.

The next go-round in 2010, in a brand-new supposedly fool-proof bipartisan redistricting process, the 7-member commission was to have 3 each R & D, and 1 "non-partisan". This time around it was our State Party chair (soon to be EX-chair) who was lulled into believing by a high court judge he trusted that a certain West-Slope former DEM who had switched to UAF and who had donated to at least one GOP candidate, was a true "non-partisan". Well, golly gee, Sgt Carter, surprise surprise! The bipartisan plan the other 6 had been working out was ripped up by member #7 and replaced with a 100%-Dem-favorable map yet again.

This one was highly creative, even artistic, in that it had plenty of Amoeba shapes within it ... I'm talking about those amoeba "pseudopods" that extend out a long ways from the body of the organism. In this case, there were these narrow pseudopods extending from heavily Blue districts up, up, up .... all the way up to encompass just the homes of all prominent GOP legislators and nothing else, so they no longer lived in the Red districts they'd represented for years, and had to move or retire.

And who can forget GHWB's "Gentlemen's Handshake Agreement" in the Oval Office with House Speaker Tom Foley and Senate Maj leader George Mitchell to at last do something to address the MSM-generated hysterical hype about Deficit Reduction, with what was supposed to be an balanced sacrifice by both sides: Bush 41 would give up his pledge to not sign any Congressional tax-raising bills, and the two Dems would cut spending to the bone, to the bone I tell ya. His part of course was non-revocable, since it involved him signing their huge tax hike, so that once it was done, it was done.

Their part OTOH was a "solemn promise" to convene joint meetings of the relevant committees in both houses to get down to brass tacks and find all the areas where they could make major cut spending. Technically, they kept the promise because the meetings were held. But once again, surprise surprise! The Dems discovered, much to their consternation, that there was actually NO FAT at all(!) in the Federal budget that could be cut without hurting the widows & orphans, and that in fact virtually every department's bloated budget needed to have ever MORE tax $$ added to them, which of course they now had, since GHWB had signed their tax hike. All Bush 41 got out of his incredibly naive Gentlemen's Handshake was a 5-second video of him saying "Read My Lips; No New Taxes" played by the MSM on an endless loop (in place of the test patterns we used to have before that day).

Republican politicians, who deal with Democrats every day as part of their job description, somehow keep getting suckered into believing that "this person at the table with me is really a normal person just like me, who though we differ majorly on political issues, is an honest hard-working person who just wants the best for our country/state/county/city like I do, and who I can therefore trust".

OK Charlie Brown, come kick the football! I prooooooommmmmiiiiiiissssse ....

No, I am fully aware they are stupid and feckless. They also hate their supporters. The Democrats at least pander to their base and promote their crazy ideas, even as they plan to sell out to China and the globalist elites. The GOPe blithely insults 73 million Trump supporters, gun owners, pro-lifers, those who want secure borders...
