I live in El Paso. It’s not just illegals. It’s legal residents, ex-pats, people crossing to see family..... it’s a mess and they know if they get to the top of the bridge, we’ll take them to the hospital. They need to close the border and everyone here says it’s a Federal issue so nobody will do anything. It’s a mess.
There is a Dr in East Dallas on Texags site that said his hospital is not releasing numbers but its bad at his hospital. he seemed to think El Paso is on the other side of the hill and starting to go down.
Am I correct in understanding that some people are crossing the border because they know medical care is available in the U.S? If so I would assume these are those with serious cases who don’t believe the Mexican hospitals are equipped to treat them. Which means they are also likely to be more contagious.
