The bail is from private funds, in cash. I do not see how he loses $200K.
Wisconsin does not allow bail bondsmen.
yup, and the militia is 17 and up, so... he qualifies
FR Eeyores yesterday: “His lawyer is terrible! He should fire him.”
Thanks for the update on Kyle’s status.
Good news for Thanksgiving week.

KYLE RITTENHOUSE IS OUT OF JAIL.
God bless ALL who donated to help #FightBack raise required $2M cash bail.
Special thanks to Actor Ricky Schroder @rickyshroder1 & Mike Lindell @realMikeLindell for putting us over the top.
Kyle is SAFE.
Thanks to ALL who helped this boy.
Not sure what you mean by bail bonds. The way it works in most states is that the accused or the family of the accused goes to a bail bondsman. The bail bondsman puts up 100% of the bail (in this case $2 million) to the court. The family pays the bail bondsman 10% of the bond; this is a fee to the bail bondsman NOT the court, and is gone for good to the bail bondsman. If the accused show up the bondsman gets back his $2million, but the family is permanently out their 10%. If the accused doesn’t show up the court keeps the bondman’s $2 million, and the bondsman sets bounty hunters on the trail of the fugitive. Most places the court doesn’t care where the $2million comes from - it’s a private transaction between the bondsman on the accused.
Wow.
Didn’t know that.
God bless whoever put it up.

The bail is set at $2million. since a 17 yo usually doesn't have that much it's up to his family to come up with the cash. They can either write out a check to the court for the full $2 mill if they have it OR they can go to a bail bondsman who will put up the $2million as a loan to the family, BUT who charges 10% of the total or in this case $200,000 for the service. THIS is the $200,000 I'm talking about. If his family has the $2,000,000 then they don't have to go to the bail bondsman and not pay the $200k fee. The $200k fee is not to the court, but to the bail bondsman.
In which case I stand corrected. I was going by the norm in most states.
“Wait this is what is coming to all of us.”
Local citizen pulled out his magnum and shot a BLM commie who tried to rob a Waffle House right between the eyeballs. Sheriff complimented him on his good shooting. No charges.
In most states, that’s how it works. Wisconsin, however, does not allow bail bondsmen to operate. So they don’t, and the accused has to come up with the entire amount.
Nope, the entire bail was posted.
Hey Kyle, imagine if you just stayed home and had some popcorn and watched a movie that night.
you either pay the 10% of the bail that you don’t get back or you put up the entire $2m by collateral assets where no cash is paid (unless you run)
If that’s Rittenhouse in the middle, he looks part Hispanic or Asian.
Yes, On the left is his attorney, the middle is Kyle, the right is actor Ricky Schroeder who helped put him over the top for the $2 million bail.
"...Kyle Rittenhouse..."
