LOS ANGELES (AP) — Republican U.S. Rep. Mike Garcia extended his narrow lead Tuesday over Democrat Christy Smith in the 25th Congressional District north of Los Angeles, where ballot-counting continued in the back-and-forth contest.
By the end of last week, Garcia had opened up a lead of just over 100 votes. An updated tally from Los Angeles and Ventura counties showed his edge had grown to 422 votes.
Garcia, a former Navy fighter pilot and defense industry executive, captured the swing district seat in a special election in May against Smith. The post was left vacant after former Democratic Rep. Katie Hill resigned in 2019 amid a House ethics probe...

The tighter the balance of power is in the overall House of Representatives, the harder it will be for their most politically ambitious members to resign their seats and take jobs in a potential Biden administration (taking their similarly politically ambitious senior staffers along into the depths of the swamp with them). There’s value in this as well.

Pubbies winning all over the country. Taking seats from dems coast to coast yet, we are to believe that President Trump lost this election? It doesn’t just strain credulity it snaps it with extreme force. The Fraud is as obvious as the wart on a witch’s nose.
I live in Mike’s district and everybody in my little mountain hamlet was for him and Trump. For what it’s worth.
Not only that, the smaller their majority, the more prima donnas and others in the Democrat party can hold Pelosi’s hostage....and the harder it is for her to push through radical legislation.

Give them a break! Stealing an election doesn’t happen overnight (well, except perhaps in shiteholes like Philadelphia and Detroit). It takes time to get the ballots over the southern border and into the hands of crooked vote counters. The Mexican mules/smugglers also tend to get greedy and withhold the ballots demanding more money.
They always keep counting until the Democrat wins.
If we get close enough perhaps we could offer a few pallets of cash to enough dems congressmen to get them to switch to Republican and give us the House. If we have to I bet we could find someone who could set up a sex scandal sting and convince them to switch, or else.
WHATS THAT? Its beneath us? Well I can guarantee you that right now the slime-ball dems are doing exactly that to a couple of our weakest RINOs. A couple of females come to mind if you get my drift. You can bet that if dems get within one Senate seat they will do everything, legality be damned, to get a Murcowski or Collins to be a turncoat.
McCarthy said he can control the floor if only 6-8 dems vote with the GOP
The last time Pelosi won Speaker of the House, 10 dems voted against her and they are all coming back...plus an energized GOP “squad” of some really good people.

Good, the second closest race’s GOP lead widens. The closest race enters recount (just a retabulation) this week with GOP 47 votes ahead in IA-2 trying to pick up an open seat.
