Neither debt nor rent due can be canceled. Attempting to do so violates the rights of one of the parties, and is illegal - even if there’s a law that “permits” it.
The recent mass hysteria led to “cancellation” of rent that was due. That action was illegal and invalid, no matter who authorized it.
It will be the end of “student loans”.
What financial institution will ever back them again?
And that may not be a bad thing given the current crop of “professors” and universities” that totally suck.

Devise a campaign that would produce a high recruitment rate into these brainwashing-factories. Tell them it’s more patriotic then joining the military.
Recruit the useful-idiots from high-school by offering them a continued culture of HS adolescent. Provide them with:
1) Low interest tuition loans
2) Guaranteed jobs and 6 figure incomes.
3) Guaranteed earned credits included.
4) Guaranteed degrees included.
5) Passing grades not required after tuition is paid.
6) Generous acceptance qualifications that virtually eliminate SATA scoring , entrance exams or HS GPA considerations that would adversely affect the rejection of your application.
Provide them with valuable programs, features and incentives:
A program where you never have to prove your academic aptitude, acuity or worth. And a learning environment that teaches you to believe in the Tooth Fairy & Peter Pan, that government is your OZ, that nihilism is hip, and that learning anything useful is useless because you never have to grow up, be accountable and become an adult.
No need to attend you major or curriculum... just fulfill your contractual obligation that came with your college acceptance letter that requires your attendance of all compelled elective courses. **
