Karl Rove overseeing Republican financial effort to hold Georgia Senate seats

Karl Rove, the longtime GOP operative and former adviser to George W. Bush, is heading up Senate Republicans’ fundraising efforts for the Georgia runoff elections.

Rove has been tapped as the finance chairman for the Georgia Battleground Fund, a joint fundraising effort by the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) and the campaigns of GOP Georgia Sens. David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler, a person familiar with the effort confirmed to The Hill.

Republicans and Democrats are expected to pump hundreds of millions of dollars into the two runoffs in Georgia over the next eight weeks as they battle for control of the Senate. The NRSC, the GOP’s Senate campaign arm, announced last week that the Georgia Battleground Fund had raised $32 million over a six-day period.

Republicans have so far secured 50 seats in the upper chamber, meaning that Democrats will have to flip both Loeffler’s and Perdue’s seats to win control of the Senate, with Vice President-elect Kamala Harris breaking the tie.

Georgia has long been considered safe territory for Republicans; voters there haven’t elected a Democrat to the Senate since 2000. But Democrats have grown increasingly optimistic about their chances in recent years as the state’s rapidly changing demographics and fast-growing population have altered its political landscape.

The GOP prefers to be in the minority. That way, they can shrug their shoulders, tell us it’s not their fault - and ask us for donations so they can fight against the majority Dems.

The fact that the Republican candidates are forging ahead with this run-off election, really undermines Trump efforts to challenge the Georgia election results. The fact that the run-off is proceeding, legitimizes the results in Georgia.

It gets worse, there is a herd of RINO's coming to "save" Georgia.

From a Politico article:

The Georgia contests have become a focal point for both parties. Outside groups have begun to spend heavily and potential future presidential hopefuls, such as Florida Sens. Marco Rubio and Rick Scott, are hitting the trail for the Republican candidates. Vice President Mike Pence is slated to travel to Georgia later this week.

People involved in the campaigns say it’s likely that the parties will spend hundreds of millions of dollars in Georgia over the next two months. Loeffler is facing pastor Raphael Warnock, while Perdue is trying to beat back a challenge from documentary filmmaker Jon Ossoff.

An array of high-profile Republicans are joining Rove in the fundraising effort. Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, former Vice President Dan Quayle and former UN ambassador Nikki Haley will serve as honorary co-chairs. Haley is also seen as a likely 2024 presidential contender.

Democrats have become “increasingly optimistic” because they have perfected voter fraud.

Partner, we already noticed that the DemonRats Biden and Harris were very over confidant of victory even though there were 12 people at her political rally in NC.

It was a lost cause day one. Imaginary Governor Abrams will steal these two seats the way she stole the presidential election. The days of the GOP winning are over.

I hear ya.

The GOP has been turned into a punching bag.

Willingly.

A few flail away but most are mouths shut, hands tied, curled up in a fetal ball.

Before the election I got very frequent emails from Rove in support of (RINO) Susan Collins. She won handily. Perhaps some credit goes to Rove but I don’t like or trust him.

“ The days of the GOP winning are over.”

Have been for a long time. Prob since HW looked at his watch in the him v Clinton debate.

Trump dragged these sorry b s across the line they’ve been resentful ever since. They want to be collecting dough out of view as much as Biden’s kid. BTW, where is he?

If they can snag defeat out of this they’ll be as happy as kemp is letting abrams be the governor over there

A real mess the GOP makes of our great country.
