"This country has gone insane."
We have a mask requirement in Washington State, and have had it for months. (Cases are rising anyway, and a return to a stricter shutdown is coming on Wednesday.)
So when I go into a store, I always have a mask on, but twice I've forgotten to raise it when I went into the store. Both times, almost-panicked young 20-something women IMMEDIATELY directed me to raise it up. It is always a young woman, isn’t it? I live in the country, somewhat near a very small town. Masks are virtually ignored, people sort of wear them sometimes. When I go shopping or visit a restaurant in Carson City or Reno, there is always a young female in a state of panic, handing me a mask, because I always forget to get the stupid mask out of the car. I hope Sydney releases the kraken soon, because I am heartily sick of this nonsense.
