Election Day may be over, but which political party will control the U.S. Senate is still up in the air. In Georgia, voters are on track to vote again in January for its two senators.
Under state law, a senate candidate needs to hit 50% of the vote to avoid a runoff. Neither of the state's Republican senators -- David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler -- reached that cutoff, meaning both contests will likely go to a runoff January 5.

You are correct.

I don’t know how to post images, but it’s at that link. Georgia law regards recounts as continuations of the general election.
:)
I checked. You are correct.
I thought one couldn’t vote in a run off election unless they had voted in the Nov. election?

I read it to be only voters who were registered as of 11-3.

That law sounds concrete. You can only vote in the runoff election if you *were* eligible to vote in the general election. So all this noise about flooding the state with new people is just noise, unless of course, the laws are “bent” to void what was legislated. Or there is yet more fraud of newly registered people voting in the runoff.
How about getting rid of the entire idiotic runoff system? Whoever has the largest number of votes wins!
67. It takes a super-majority, not just cloture.
Works for me.
That would elect the Democrat. He got 36% of the vote.
Several Republicans split up the rest.

There better not be Mail In Ballots.
"Paragraph II. Run-off election.A run-off election shall be a continuation of the general election and only persons who were entitled to vote in the general election shall be entitled to vote therein; and only those votes cast for the persons designated for the runoff shall be counted in the tabulation and canvass of the votes cast."
You can read the Georgia Constitution Here on the official .gov site Look under Article II, Section II.
The amount of election dis-information being sent out by the main stream media is tremendous. And notice how it doesn't appear that Fox, CNN, Twitter, Facebook, Google, or any of the other people censoring supposed "disinformation" about the election are saying anything about all the people calling for new registrants for the run-off, something that is plainly illegal in Georgia.
Correct. All of the media talking about new voters are simply reporting false information. And yet Twitter and Facebook don’t apply their fact check warnings to it.
That would be useful information, do you remember any more details about the case?
It is interesting that the Ga SOS site lists Dec 7 as final day to register to vote.
Surely the SOS knows the State Constitution.
This may be a Dem attempt to manipulate
Dec. 7th a day that will live in infamy
I drove through Atlanta...
The GOP just needs to stuff the ballot boxes with a million votes and then call anyone that doesnt like it a sore loser
Now someone suggested that we who live just outside of GA should quickly rent an apartment there, take a driver’s test, then register to vote. Quick easy, change residence. Vote republican. Change back.
I won’t because I think, while on-the-surface it can be done, I do not think it is morally right. If I were a democRAT, I would have no problem with it as they have no morals.
