A senior U.S. cybersecurity official is leaving government after being asked to resign, an official familiar with the matter said Thursday, part of a wider thinning of President Donald Trumps administration following Joe Bidens election win.
Bryan Ware, the Assistant Director for Cybersecurity for the Department of Homeland Securitys Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), confirmed to Reuters that he had handed in his resignation on Thursday.
He didnt provide details, but a U.S. official familiar with the matter said the White House asked for Wares resignation earlier this week.
CISA and the White House did not immediately return an email seeking comment.
The news was first reported here by cybersecurity-focused news site CyberScoop.
Ware is one of several officials whove left national security-related posts after Trumps loss, which the president has yet to concede.
The churn is being closely watched amid concern for the integrity of the transition from Trump to Biden.

“what bothers me about this is that it means that the cybersecurity agencies are in on the fox, apparently....”
It could be that it was his job to catch something and stop it and he missed it, which means we know what they did. Inept rather than malicious.
” ... it means that the cybersecurity agencies are in on the fox, ...”
Interesting slip.
meaning, perhaps, that many in these agencies, but not all, are patriots? and he’s getting rid of the swamp creatures.
Dear God please make it so.
Well, Dr. Pieczenik has said some pretty foolish things over the years, but he did co-author a number of books with Tom Clancy, and it could be that this time he does have a source in the know. But take this man with a grain of salt, please.
could be, good point.
just an old fashioned, “You’re Fired!”
lol, sorry.....not sorry
do you mean dr Steven Pieczenick? If so I believe Pieczenick was expecting CISA to pull through as it was developed for this election against voter fraud.
In other words this could be trouble
He probably helped China in their attempt to steal an election.
Yes...sorry about the misspelling. The ballots was only one issue he brought up. This firing is consistent with his other comments. He specifically talked about cybersecurity firings.
Leaving after being asked to resign

"There, proved it!"
I can confirm they are. Sunning how many are liberal types.
One brief blurb on 11/4 was that CISA tracked all the voting Tuesday night by monitoring the Dominion machine activity on the internet. Trump reportedly was at CISA and watched the thievery take place. He reportedly said, “We got them. We saw it all. We have the evidence”. And then he clammed up. Maybe Mr. Ware tried to monkey with the evidence. For those who question the ability to monitor voting activity; If LIFELOCK can monitor millions of credit card numbers for illicit use, 50 state voting hdqtrs tabulating machines would be a piece of cake. Trump added CISA to DHS in 2018 specifically to safeguard elections.
This is clearly a storm..
OF COURSE CIA, and these guys were in on this BANK ON IT!!! It is called the DEEP STATE SWAMP!!
Is this something like closing the barn door after the horses have escaped?
It has sure taken him a very long time... I swear, I would have fired just about everybody when I took over, although I do realize that this is a YUGE country and the number of people in govt is staggering.
I’m hoping Radcliff has something. Or the NSA.
He better have laid counter coup traps or he will never survive this. He has been pretty quiet lately, hopefully he is busy harvesting souls that betrayed him.
