GSA Responds to Biden Campaign: Ascertainment Has Not yet Been Made on Power Transfer
As the campaign for Joe Biden attempts to push the General Services Administration (GSA) to approve a transfer of power, the agency said that it has not made an assessment of the situation.
An ascertainment has not yet been made. GSA and its Administrator will continue to abide by, and fulfill, all requirements under the law, a spokesperson with the GSA told Epoch Times on Monday morning.
The agency said that the GSA administrator, Emily Murphy, will only initiate the transition when a clear winner is clear based on the process laid out in the Constitution.
The Administrators ascertainment is done for the purposes of making services provided by the [Presidential Transition Act] available, the spokesperson added. Until an ascertainment is made, the statute allows for the Biden Transition Team to continue to receive the pre-elect services from the government (e.g., limited office space, computers, background investigations for security clearances). GSA has met all statutory requirements under the PTA for this election cycle and will continue to do so.

GSA Responds to Biden Campaign: Ascertainment Has Not yet Been Made on Power Transfer
Sorry Joe. Go take a nap. sheesh, I watched today’s presser and Biden is getting even worse.
I’ve been saying for days that we’re going to get a great lesson in U.S. civics over the next 4-6 weeks. I hope low-information Americans see past the media nonsense and pay attention to the lesson.
“Ascertainment”?
Must be bureaucrat jargon.
Sounds like a twerk show.
Better: “GSA to Joe: Power Transfer has not yet been Ascertained.”
Back to the basement, Joe. And make sure to wear several layers of masks.
Some of them will. One of my work contacts, who voted for Pres. Trump but normally takes the tee-vee news as gospel truth, has been e-mailing me over the past few days to ask for further info on the court cases, the likelihood of eventual Supreme Court review, etc. I take it as encouraging that she’s at least beginning to question the propaganda she’s been fed.
Simply put....
GSA to the Biden campaign, “GFY!”
FU Joe.
Any obligations made on transfer of power before certification of the vote by congress is illegal.
Indeed. I've been telling the handful of my immigrant friends and family the very same thing.
That (legal) immigrants wouldn't know this stuff is one thing, but to have generational citizens ignorant to these facts of how our government works is a direct indictment on the educational system in this country.
Makes me think of Bugs Bunny: What a maroon.
Take that, Bidet/Hairylegs
Good.
There can not be an official power transfer until the electorate has voted.
They haven’t.
For those who don’t know, the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) is tasked with formally recognizing any president-elect, which begins the transfer of power.
But the agency’s Trump-appointed administrator, Emily Murphy, has not started the process. Murphy has not yet determined that a winner is clear.”
The GSA was established by President Harry Truman in 1949, with the tasks of administering supplies and providing workplaces for federal employees.
The agency’s original mission included storing government records, handling emergency preparedness and accumulating supplies for wartime.
