Lindsey Graham demands DOJ probe of late-ballot plot in Pennsylvania
NY Post ^ | November 7, 2020 | 4:06pm | Mary Kay Linge

Sen. Lindsey Graham called on the Department of Justice and the US Postal Service to investigate a Pennsylvania whistleblower’s claims of a scheme to add illegal postmarks to late mail-in ballots.

“As Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee … I will not allow allegations of voting irregularities and misconduct to be swept under the rug,” Graham said in a statement issued by his Senate campaign.

The South Carolina senator, who won a hotly contested re-election battle this week, said he has received a sworn affidavit from Richard Hopkins, a postal worker in Erie, Penn., who says his supervisors planned to backdate ballots that were mailed too late to be counted under Pennsylvania law.

Project Veritas first reported Hopkins’ allegations.

It's all well and good and nothing like sunshine in dark corners of the old democratic machine.

But what is the remedy. It lies through the Federal Courts and more importantly the State Legislatures. Fortunately the dems stole the election in red states.

DOJ doesn’t take orders from President Trump.

Barr went AWOL when news of Hunter’s laptop broke. I think I one public statement from him after that.

They are part of the Executive Branch and thus answer to the President.

I knew when Barr & Durham did not expose the coup before the election that Trump had lost the DOJ...though it’s doubtful he ever really had them.

One of the things that is amusing is how complex the fraud has to be. You have to find all the people who didn’t vote on election day, make up their ballots, put them in the mail, backdate the post mark, back date the receipt, kick out the observers while you drag them in, unbag them count them and dispose of them.

All in a way that doesn’t attract suspicion.

I’m torn. On the one hand, Graham did very well in the Kavanaugh and Barrett confirmations. On the other hand, he’s made many promises to investigate, subpoena, etc., which never came to pass.

Not sure what to think about the prospects of this latest vow by him. Guess it’s theoretically possible that if he actually understands that his OWN ass is on the line (along with 70 million others), he might come through.

Agree.

Also agree with the realistic goal of taking the 2022 House.

If Barr does nothing my faith in human nature is crumbling. I really think he is stand up guy. right now I still hope he is alive really. Radio silence is uncanny.

I don’t know about y’all, but I will never vote for another Republican, as long as I live, so help me God. Time for a new party-———— or a new country. I took down the Stars and Stripes today, and put up the Stars and Bars. It will stay, too.

Yeah, actually it does. The DOJ is in the executive branch. It has absolutely no legal independence. The president can direct them investigation to be started, or stopped. He can fire the AG, or the director of the FBI, that minor bureau under the AG, anytime he pleases.. He can even conduct an investigation himself, personally. At least under the original constitution. Where do you get the idea of DOJ is independent?
