I live in Anchorage. I’ve heard we are very slow to count votes because we certify that voters using mail-in ballots did not also vote in-person. (I pray this is true.) We also have an enormous amount of rural/“bush” communities without road access, further slowing down the processing of mail-in ballots.
Anyway, when I checked yesterday, about half of our precincts had been tabulated. I did some back of the envelope math based on historic turnout, registrations, and party affiliation to project Trump getting 57% of the vote (made some very conservative assumptions too). Like everywhere else, he will carry both Senator Sullivan and Rep. Young to re-election on his coattails. So yes, I wouldn’t worry about Alaska.
I also apologize for Murkowski. So many of us cannot wait to vote against her.

nope; to get to 269, AK has to already be part of the total...269 means a tie, and AK already has to be part of the total...
