If you remember a number of years ago the Republicans had most of the judge seats in Dallas county. And then, Katrina hit and a bunch of people from New Orleans moved to Dallas. The following election we lost all the judge seats. That is one of the reasons why Dallas county is blue - they brought their voting with them.

I have a friend who works for a house builder that builds outside Dallas county. She asks everyone who comes into see about buying a house if they are Republican or democrat. The vast majority of people say they are Republican. She then says to them if the answer Republican. "Well then, good because we don't want the others coming in and messing things up." I don't know how she gets away with that.

People moving in usually head to the suburbs unless they are very wealthy then they head to Highland Park or downtown, it seems.

I’m in Coppell. We are mostly Conservative here in the NW corner of Dallas County. We pretty much stay out of Dallas the city.

Dallas turned blue because the old Dallasites died off I saw the current situation there coming years ago and left years ago. But Nawleans rats scurrying in was also a factor

A much larger reason that Dallas judgeships are in Dem hands is because the local GOP lets many positions run unopposed. On my ballot today were at least FOUR unopposed Democrats running for election or re-election as a judge.
