Bloody hell! Why can’t we just use paper ballots? You can’t hack a ballot box.

Of course you can. There is no method that is foolproof in a land of dishonest citizens that derive their wealth from the people they rule over.

The old fashion way had a better chance of success for sure but still....

I can remember as a kid 70 years or so ago my mother was active in politics and worked in the poll station in our small community. Representatives of both parties manned the station and when ballots were tallied at the end of the day, the totals were posted on the door and actual ballots were locked in the ballot box. The ballots were then moved to the County Seat and the Sheriff locked them into a cell until the election was validated.

Weakest link in that chain was the corrupt sheriff.

Our area in Gulf Coast MS usually has touch screens - today we used paper ballots and fed them into the machine to be scanned.
I’d say about 80% of us in the hour-long line were Trump votes....but that’s how Mississippi rolls.

Never understand when you have 4 years to make sure shit works and then have issues on the day you need it.

There should be a National Standard for voting machines.

Just voted in Jefferson Co! I’m on the outskirts in Moscow, but walked right in! I asked where the voting problems were and our officials knew nothing about them.

Paper ballots don’t go down.

Happened to me this morning. We used to have touchscreen machines, which I suspect are now out due to COVID. So we voted paper ballot with the fill-in-the-circle method.

You then take them to a machine to scan right away but the scanner was having "technical difficulties". So they had us deposit the ballots into a slotted ballot box to be scanned later.

No good. Whoever gets that job can see how the ballots were voted and discard any they choose. I've reported this to the local GOP and the Trump Campaign. I can only be sure my vote will count if a Trump poll watcher gets to observe the scans.

In the last election, we learned that 33 states lease their election equipment from SOROS!!!
