JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ark.- The Secretary of the Jefferson County Board of Election Commissioners said Tuesday morning several polling sites in the county are not yet open due to difficulties poll workers encountered using the new equipment.
According to Stuart Soffer, Secretary of the Jefferson County Board of Election Commissioners, some poll workers are having difficulties although they received intensive training.
Soffer said a contingency plan involving seven responders, office staff and an ES&S troubleshooter has been implemented.
The Jefferson County Board of Election Commissioners is asking voters to delay voting until later Tuesday when everything should be running smoothly.

Paper ballots don’t go down.
Probably part of their plan to get a judge to let just their area stay open late for late vote manufacturing.
That’s how the Dems roll.
dim run areas are the most incompetently run areas in the country.
Bloody hell! Why can’t we just use paper ballots? You can’t hack a ballot box.
Not just specific to Arkansas, but I have a number of Facebook friends throughout the country reporting issues with voting machines. Seems precinct by precinct (one-off here, one-off there), but I don’t remember it being this widespread in previous elections.
New Equipment? Owned by Soros?
Vote on paper. It shouldnt take long to get paper voter ballots done.
Good news is that Arkansas is the surest bet of the whole day, no worries there, whatever shenanigans go on. If it is not close, they can’t cheat. Go vote!
Incompetence is what they major in down there. Pine Bluff, which is the county seat of Jefferson County is Detroit of the South and easily one of the most dangerous small cities in America.
PAPER?...THAT IS SOOOOO 18TH CENTURY.................
Everyone should be using traceable, recountable paper ballots, NOT hackable electronic systems that cannot be verified and recounted.
Yes, there is absolutely no worry of us going Blue. It’s very likely we go 65% or higher for Trump. I drove to Branson, MO a couple of weeks ago and literally saw ZERO Biden signs for a nearly 200 mile stretch through northern Arkansas and southern Missouri.
I”m not surprised at all - I grew up in that county... and yes, Democrats are firmly entrenched (the county seat was a major hub for both cotton and slaves.)
The schools there are incredibly bad. The victim mentality mindset is the rule...
And that makes it easier to change the outcome - switching ballots, remarking ballots, or simply destroying the odd Republican ballot... I don’t believe there is any Republican representation on the election board in that county...
I voted early on Oct. 30. They actually offered a choice this year between the electronic machines and paper ballots, presumably due to COVID concerns with paper ballots. I used a paper ballot. Everything worked fine.
True they don’t need any new equipment their votes will get counted any way.
Yep - I grew up in Pine Bluff - the city had issues back in the 80’s, but nothing like the horrible mess it is in today.
I use to call PB “Little Detroit”... but I don’t any longer - as Detroit has made some serious turns in the right direction...
