Republicans are up 20,000 in the first 20 minutes of voting. So far Republicans have a 32% advantage in the Florida Early Vote.
Abbott’s blowout win was more the result of a very flawed and unpopular opponent, Wendy Davis, than a measure of Abbott’s political prowess!
Yes, Trump’s support certainly helped, but remember that Beto had many coattails of his own, in not just the DNC, but also Hollywood, the media, and the elite.
Beto was everyone’s golden boy, and he lost to a formidable incumbent.
“Other” is a combo of No Party Affiliation and minor parties to include Libertarian, Green, Socialism & Liberation, etc. The No Party Affiliation numbers are much greater than the minor party totals.
Thank you for your wonderful local report!
IDK, last update Republicans only gained 6500 votes. That is a rate of about 19,500 per hours gain. But there are some counties not reporting so number may be higher.
At current rate over 200K advantage Republican.
But I expect there to be an uptick at lunch and this evening.
I am hoping for 300K net Republican over Democrat ballot advantage :)
No thank you. Reps would never support it, for good reason.
Palm Beach County, FL: We voted early last week but just drove past our polling place at 11 am. Empty. No one. I think that’s a good sign for Commmieland.
Well, the 55k GOP ballot advantage in 2016 yielded a 113k vote margin for Trump. Even you 200k ballot advantage would put Trump comfortably ahead in votes by at least 250k.
Ted Cruz is not a viable Presidential candidate. The GOP is now the party of Trump. To win, Rep hopefuls will have to echo his message of economic nationalism and the protection of American workers.
The DEMs' scare tactics about COVID-19 may very well come back to bite them in the rear, at least in some states.
Don’t forget the Panhandle. Or 2000.
Overall early, mail, election day:
R 37.7%
D 37.8%
The really funny thing about this is that all the national pundits use the Cruz - Beto race as some sort of indicator that Texas is trending blue. The last election for governor is a better indicator and Abbott pulled off a double-digit win.
Pinellas County leans which way?
How so? It sounds like the Dems shot their wad in EV. No ammo left for Election Day.

Pinellas is St Pete correct?? Is that primarily rat country?
Trump won Pinellas by just over 1% in 2016.
Pinellas is a bellwether county.
Yes, but with single digit margins the difference counts.
