KENT COUNTY, Mich. President Donald Trump was scheduled
to spend the final hours of the 2020 presidential election
in Grand Rapids Monday night in a final push to win the
battleground state of Michigan.
Trump was expected to make two stops in Michigan on Monday:
One in Traverse City, and one in Kent County at the
Gerald R. Ford International Airport.
The president also held a rally in Grand Rapids on the night
before the 2016 election. Trump has fondly spoken of the final
swing of campaign events in 2016 as a reason why he won the
state of Michigan.

He's got our backs, we've got his.
I have to assume and hope that DJT thinks he has PA sewn up is he’s on offense in MI.
I think he was in Scranton, PA today.
"was expected to" sounds to me like he didn't.
Did he not go to Michigan as planned?
How do they know? The day is not over yet.
That would be more honest. They could also tell how the event turned out if they reported on it after it actually happened.
It’s a tremendous honor that he would end it here for a second time
Does he have any stops on Election Day?
We can safely call this Trumps victory lap.
Eastern MI, east of I75, is rust belt unionist welfare heavy D.
Western MI is much more conservative, nicer, safer, smarter.
I think this is insurance in case he doesn't carry PA. With FL looking good, either MI and PA would be enough to get him to 270.
Doing a stop in Kenosha Wisconsin between his Michigan appetences
I actually think Trump feels more comfortable there...they're good, tough people who've been sold a bill of goods for too long...they're waking up, too.
For example, "We expected John to be at the party" is normally spoken after the party is over, implying that he didn't show, or we didn't see him there.
Otherwise, we would say "We expect John to be at the party (tonight)."
I have been following Trump's movements today.
When I saw this article, I was taken aback. Sounded to me like he didn't show up as planned.
I actually wondered if something had happened at the Traverse City airport.
Thank goodness the President is on schedule and okay.
Traverse City is in North West Lower MI, not Eastern. FRiends
Grand Rapids The working class is poised to strike back at
the ballot box, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump
said early Tuesday in west Michigan, predicting victory over
Democrat Hillary Clinton during a final campaign rally that
stretched in to the wee hours of Election Day.
Were hours away from a once-in-a-lifetime change, Trump told
thousands of enthusiastic supporters who packed the DeVos Place
convention center in downtown Grand Rapids.
The late-night rally, Trumps eighth campaign stop in Michigan
this cycle, served as an exclamation point for his aggressive
attempt to woo blue-collar workers here and win a state that
Democrats have carried since 1992.
Trump was joined by running mate Mike Pence, who campaigned
Monday in Traverse City. Clinton also campaigned in west Michigan
on Monday, and President Barack Obama stumped for her in Ann Arbor.
Michigan stands at the crossroads of history, Trump said.
If we win Michigan, we will win this historic election and then
we will truly be able to do all of the things we want to do.
...
The corrupt politicians and their special interests have ruled
over this country for a long time, he said. Today is our
Independence Day. Today the American working class is going
to strike back.
