Philadelphia’s mayor warned that election workers won’t start counting mail-in ballots until Election Day — and will take “several days” to tally results — adding a critical wrinkle to the election in the crucial battleground state of Pennsylvania, according to a report.
In an open letter to Philadelphia residents, Mayor Jim Kenney urged patience, WCAU reported Monday.
“After the polls close, and in the ensuing days, we will continue to need your patience,” reads the letter signed by Kenney and Lisa Deeley, the chairwoman of the Philadelphia City Commissioners.
“Never in the history of this city have so many people voted by mail. By law, staffers are not allowed to start opening and counting these ballots until Election Day itself,” it continued. “That means getting a tally of mail-in ballots will easily take several days. This may determine the outcome in Philadelphia, and in the Commonwealth as a whole. So, again, please be patient.”
Philadelphia election officials said they have received more than 400,000 absentee and mail-in ballots.
They will begin to be counted when polls open at 7 a.m.
The delay in counting votes in Democrat-heavy Philadelphia could mean that President Trump may open up a huge lead in Pennsylvania over Joe Biden only to see it disappear as the City of Brotherly Love tallies its vote.
Trump on Sunday said his campaign will be sending teams of lawyers into swing states to challenge mail-in ballot extensions.
“We’re going to go in the night of — as soon as the election is over — we’re going in with our lawyers,” Trump told reporters in North Carolina.
The Supreme Court granted Pennsylvania a three-day extension to count mail-in ballots.

They won't need to print, they already have stacks of pre-filled ballots. All they need is the list of registered voters who did not cast a ballot by election day and they stuff envelopes and use those names. It's a colossal scam that has been going on for years in inner cities dominated by Democrats.

I don’t get it either, seems you can count voters going to the polls and mail ballots together, sorta like walking and chewing gum!
I read a web article saying the Pennsylvania Supreme Court recently ruled that mail-in ballots can't be rejected even though the voter's signature on the mail-in ballot is totally different than that voter's signature on his voter registration form. That's insane. But that's what you get when you have a huge Democrat majority on a Supreme Court.
Hopefully, Biden's not elected along with a Democrat Senate takeover because then you'll get that U.S. Supreme Court packing and electoral college elimination that Democrats have repeatedly promised. Technically, the Harris Administration (via biden) says she'll create a "bipartisan Commission" of legal experts & scholars who will evaluate the U.S. legal & governmental systems and create a list of restructuring recommendations. A U.S. President Harris along with a Democrat-controlled Congress will then pick and choose from those restructuring recommendations for implementation.
And ballots received after election day must be segregated.
Furthermore, SCOTUS said that if there is funny business, they would hear the case. Amy is now participating.
The question is where did the law change occur? In the legislature or from the bench.

Philadelphia County and the City of Philadelphia are the exact same geographical area.
I don’t know how the governments separate themselves but I would assume the mayor in this situation would be aware of the staff numbers that will be opening and processing the mail in ballots.
Philadelphia is about 1.5 million people and I would assume thanks to Covid several hundred of thousands of ballots will need verified opened and counted likely by a staff nowhere near the size it should be because typical election does not have remotely that many mail in ballots.
Thanks. This is so bizarre. In Canada there is only one set of rules for the entire country in a Federal election and, yes, we require voters to show government issued photo ID. The same applies in most western countries. If there was no fraud President Trump would win 60-40.

The fix is in. Post office workers are in on stealing the election too.
It has happened before...USPS employees arrested for backdating mail for contest entries. Also, several mail carries arrested for outright discarding mail. It only takes one insider to back date envelopes, which they likely would’ve done in advance.
I would have never believed it. I would have never thought that corruption could run that deep.
