Philadelphia’s mayor warned that election workers won’t start counting mail-in ballots until Election Day — and will take “several days” to tally results — adding a critical wrinkle to the election in the crucial battleground state of Pennsylvania, according to a report.
In an open letter to Philadelphia residents, Mayor Jim Kenney urged patience, WCAU reported Monday.
“After the polls close, and in the ensuing days, we will continue to need your patience,” reads the letter signed by Kenney and Lisa Deeley, the chairwoman of the Philadelphia City Commissioners.
“Never in the history of this city have so many people voted by mail. By law, staffers are not allowed to start opening and counting these ballots until Election Day itself,” it continued. “That means getting a tally of mail-in ballots will easily take several days. This may determine the outcome in Philadelphia, and in the Commonwealth as a whole. So, again, please be patient.”
Philadelphia election officials said they have received more than 400,000 absentee and mail-in ballots.
They will begin to be counted when polls open at 7 a.m.
The delay in counting votes in Democrat-heavy Philadelphia could mean that President Trump may open up a huge lead in Pennsylvania over Joe Biden only to see it disappear as the City of Brotherly Love tallies its vote.
Trump on Sunday said his campaign will be sending teams of lawyers into swing states to challenge mail-in ballot extensions.
“We’re going to go in the night of — as soon as the election is over — we’re going in with our lawyers,” Trump told reporters in North Carolina.
The Supreme Court granted Pennsylvania a three-day extension to count mail-in ballots.

If only we had an FBI or other worthy Federal agency!
A raid on a post office “manufacturing” ballots would be worth gold!
It takes time to know how many ballots must be manufactured to counter the votes by sovereigns rejecting the Biden-Harris evil designs.
I am working the election in Maine tomorrow. The state sets all the rules and regulations, but at least in Maine it is the city halls and town halls that admister everything about ballots, counting etc.
why do they assume that all the mail in ballots will be Dem? shouldn’t they be a representative ratio of the state as a whole?
Those counties should take as long as they need to insure the integrity of the election which would mean waiting until Phillidelphia submits their results (he, he, he).
After all we do have the White House already ....
By Pennsylvania law, domestic-mail in ballots have to be postmarked on election day or before and received by Friday. Overseas military ballots and diplomatic corps ballots have to be postmarked no later than today and received within seven days of election day. If it’s close it could take the military and diplomat ballots to decide the election.
If I’m not mistaken, in Florida the dems were sitting on their votes until everyone else reported, then the big blue areas finally released their votes. But in 2016, some of the red counties decided to hold theirs until they simultaneously released their numbers.
Investigate this mayor for corruption. Bet they’d find it.
Yes, in 2016 Florida counting was totally different than I remember it in the past. Hillary was way up at some point and then the red flood came in.
My small-city-sized town in CT hired hundreds of polling staff to handle this. They are spending the day today (if not working at the traditional polls) opening the outer envelopes and getting the still-sealed inner ballots and envelopes ready so they can count them efficiently tomorrow.
Of course, there is no legitimate reason for Philly not to be doing the exact same thing.
Why is it that in several elections they have said they werent counting military ballots because they came in too late and now they are getting to take forever to count ballots?
Why is it that they can get mail in ballots counted in Oregon in one day and other states need more than a week?
Somewhere, there is a Joseph Vissarionovich Stalin that agrees.
Most times the Philadelphia Vote Fraud Machine has to make an educated guess before an election as to how many votes need to be manufactured. So if the Republican candidate outperforms expectations to a degree larger than the manufactured vote he wins. Yet even in that case there’s always multiple emergency pleas to keep polls open late so that they can squeeze out more votes from the buses moving fraudulent voters between polling places.
This time is different. The democrats have 3-days to manufacture the votes and they will know Tuesday night exactly how many votes will be necessary. It’s the difference between a moving target and a sitting duck.

Also, it isn’t even a hill, just another pile of prog dog poop.
Not sure, but I think part of the Court ruling allowing 3 days to count, also mandated observers and those include Federal election lawyers.
I also recall (sorta) Wolfe saying the count will be expedited.
There was a rumor in 2016 that the Philly (& other electronic fraud...since obviated by no electronic voting), was foiled by a US military satellite interference op run from the Caribbean. Gen MacInerney alluded to that today on War Room, adding he is prohibited from saying more.
Also, recall the Philly recount in 2016 was suddenly cancelled because they were finding more votes than people who hadn’t yet voted.
POTUS and his team are on this.
It never took several days before.
...a game of Sit on the Ballots ...

In 2016, a small R county outwaited them and it was decisive.
