For as long as there have been elections, there have been high-profile people threatening to leave the country if the race doesn’t go their way.
The 2020 presidential race is no exception. Although stars like Lena Dunham, Jon Stewart, Samuel L. Jackson and countless others previously made the empty promise to ditch the United States if Donald Trump became president in 2016, the 2020 race is perhaps even more contentious in the minds of Hollywood stars. In fact, Trump himself has joked that he may have to leave the country if his opponent, Joe Biden, wins.
With Election Day just hours away, stars seem to be hedging their bets so as not to have egg on their face when they inevitably decide to stick around regardless of the outcome. Still, a handful of celebrities have claimed that they’ll flee the United States in the event that the president is reelected:

Many of these “arteests” probably desperately need a paycheck after the past year. PO-ing the Trump voters doesn’t help.

Sadly, they never actually leave, but I wonder why they bother even saying so. Do they actually believe that the treat of leaving will cause anyone to change their vote? That would seem incredible, but there is no end to their narcissism.
By just removing Lena Dunham from the country, it would reduce America’s average disgusting/hideous score by a whole 5 percentage points.
They been saying it since 2000, but they are still here. Half of them couldn’t be Street sweepers in any nations.

My bet is they try the Caribbean, until they discover there are mandatory negative tests, 14 day quarantines,and re-testing every 3 days.
I have friends on some islands and I follow the local island news in the Lesser Antilles. It’s off again/on again over there. Some places, the supply ferries are kept offshore and all resupply is by plane. Prices must be through the roof. I noticed NO grocery ads in the local papers and those were always there, pre-COVID.
All of Europe is slamming shut. NZ is closed.
Sorry, proggies: there’s no where to go and if there was, you might run into a pro-Trump rally, like in Nigeria.
POTUS is an international favorite.
