President Trump has described his campaign rallies as “fun,” “wonderful,” “the Greatest Show on Earth,” and, of course, “BIG.”
An effort to calculate whether those events have increased the spread of the coronavirus in the United States suggests that “contagious” and “deadly” would also apply.
A rigorous attempt to gauge the after-effects of 18 of the president’s reelection rallies, all held in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, suggests they have led to more than 30,000 additional cases and at least 700 additional deaths.
Those casualties would not have occurred if the campaign events had not taken place, according to a team of Stanford researchers. Media coverage of the rallies made clear there was little effort to follow guidelines about social distancing, and mask use was optional for attendees, who typically numbered in the thousands. (Indeed, face coverings were disparaged by the president on several occasions.)

Let me give an example. I went to a Trump rally in Tucson. Have cases risen since then? Yes. Risen as much is surrounding counties? No. So Trump’s rally was the cause?
Well, Pima county has always had more problems with COVID than the surrounding RURAL counties. And the 10,000 people at the rally are a pretty small part of the 1,000,000 population. And Pima County infections were rising BEFORE the rally at the same rate they did AFTER the rally.
But if you compare an urban population with an established rise in cases with a rural county nearby which had had very few cases at all....it will look bad in the urban county. But if you compared the before and after rises in cases, you’d find no change. Nor would you expect to given the rally involved 10,000 people in open air, lots of sunshine, while embedded in a county of 1,000,000 people - including nursing homes, a university, an Interstate, hotels, etc.
BTW - the over 60 crowd I know who went to the rally? No masks, no infections.

Your post is full of lies. 236,000 dead, out of 9.4 million cases. 350,000,000 is more than the US population, and most have not had it. 2.6 was not the minimum number of comorbidities, but the average, and the 6% (now dated) statistic was for 1 or more. 70% of US adults have at least one of the high-risk comorbidities, which includes simply being overweight.
The 6% trope is BS. For one reason, of those that die from any contagious disease, generally only a small percentage die from “just” the disease. For the common flu, it’s 3.75% (also according to the CDC), for an average year, and that is also averaged over many different strains of flu. For the common cold it is closer to 0%. What all these diseases do is trigger underlying conditions or pave the way for opportunistic infections. And since with CCP-19, you are likely to suffer a long while before you die (or recover) there is more opportunity for secondary infections or having some preexisting condition triggered.
One difference, and the main reason that 6% claim is a lie, is that the flu often comes with pneumonia symptoms from an opportunistic secondary infection. With CCP-19 the pneumonia symptoms are direct symptoms of the disease. So all those pneumonia-with-CCP-19 deaths are really just CCP-19 deaths (some 90,000), or at least some large portion of them, even though with the flu it is a separate infection.
In any case, your post based on outdated and fabricated numbers is a crock and you either are truly ignorant and should stop posting, or you are deliberately lying and should stop posting.
Posting lies about this virus is wrong, whether it’s someone nominally on the right, or someone on the left.

Note the “past tense” language when we haven’t barely gotten through the incubation period for this last round of events. And, 30,000 confirmed (non PCR) cases if such occurred in a population almost exclusively 20-60 year olds would lead to just around 150 deaths. (Trump isn’t holding rallies in Nursing Homes)

It’s just an extrapolation of estimates very liberally laden with a high incidence at the top end of transmittal incidence and estimated from zero documented transmissions of China Virus from Trump events
Their estimations would have been the same technique based on the numbers of any crowd anywhere and uses a death rate exponentially greater than the known figure which itself is suspect given how many Covid deaths are falsified for the federal cash
I suspect someone or several media types at major outlets funded this “study” via Tides or Soros or Steyer left wing money
Produce a study by academia to find an outcome they wanted to publish
