I wasn’t around in 1968, but I’d think at this point many targets of the leftist radicals don’t have much left to protect or secure. Has anyone rebuilt anything in the areas already targeted?
If we have one of the two major political parties who refuse to accept election results unless they win then we don’t have a political system. We have a terrorist organization that is appeased from time to time.
I agree it would be teachable to simply let those places just burn to a crisp, but we’ve been basically playing that game for the last six months. And Trump supporters live in those cities, too.
I think it might even more teachable if the country got a heaping helping of what the federal government is capable of doing when it comes to protecting the people from domestic terrorists. And especially after an election.
Forget 2020 — we’ll never be able to have normal elections for the foreseeable future if we don’t get in there and protect people.
What a year of first for the Democrats. Add to the list: the first presidential campaign in history to continue holding rallies after losing.
This is worse because Democrat city governments then tried to stop the mayhem, this year they encourage it and blame the cops.
This is decidedly NOT the same. This is wide scale insurrection.
The only way to stop this in communist controlled areas is for free people to put it down by necessary means.

And what was ethnically (Jewish, Polish, Irish, Italian) white urban enclaves in 1968 are now black, Hispanic and even Muslim (Somalian, African).

My bet is much of this will burn.
......at any given time, our county in Texas has 5 patrol cars on the streets and backroads. They are backed up somewhat by about a dozen off duty deputies. Additionally, there are a couple dozen city cops. Then there are state troopers and Texas Rangers but most likely, if our county is attacked, they (the Texas Rangers and State Troopers) would be busy in many of the 255 other counties in Texas.
73% of our 47,000 population is female (52%) and/or elderly (21%).
So, roughly, there are 11,750 males in the county and about half of them could, most likely, be expected to back up the Sheriff (be deputized) if major disorder strikes our county.
My chronological age makes me elderly but my physical condition is such that I would definitely be in the front line.
The bottom line is that Antifa and BLM could immediately expect to get a very hostile, indeed lethal, reception here when the first molotov cocktail was lit.
I doubt the National Guard will have ammo, maybe not even bayonets. After letting blackliesmatter and pantifa riot and burn, these governors will order them to do nothing, just like they ordered the cops to do nothing.

Yes, I was in the NAVY. In 69’ I was stationed at NAS Alameda right across from Berkeley and they were rioting all the time. We had to do drills to repel boarders in case the hippies tried to storm the base. The CO obviously had never gotten a close look at the enemy.
