Universities prepare students to cope with 2020 election results One school wants students to 'gameplan' for election night

With Election Day less than a week away, universities and faculty are preparing students for Tuesday’s results. Without explicitly saying it, they are worried about the possibility of another victory by President Donald Trump.

“Harvard’s Faculty Council launched preliminary discussions” in mid-October on “how to support students and faculty following next month’s presidential election,” the student paper The Harvard Crimson reported.

The Center for Research on Learning and Teaching at the University of Michigan published a guide on “Preparing To Teach about the 2020 Election (And After).” Though it does not explicitly state that the authors are concerned about President Trump, it unmistakably echoes liberal criticism of President Trump.

It explains that every discipline and academic department can educate students on the issues on the ballot:

Our students need to be able to critically evaluate the platforms of candidates and elected leaders. Every discipline is somehow implicated in these agendas and related policy proposals, whether the topic is health care; history, race, and the Black Lives Matter movement; education, immigration and the rights of refugees; fracking or climate change; gender inequality and LGBTQ rights; or international relations and the “war on terror.”

It also warns instructors to be mindful of student feelings and what is at stake during this election:

Uh, which colleges and universities are fully up and running? Have semi loads of tissue been arriving daily? Maybe some drums for drum circles? Maybe some throat lozenges for helping with all the screaming, wailing and crying? That's what we get when there's an 'everybody gets a trophy' mentality. Whip it. Whip it good!

Yup, wringing your hands over an election is a much better use of time than studying, doing homework, reading, preparing for tests and finals.

In 2016, universities actually shutdown and canceled classes because instructors had meltdowns.

Will these Universities also be setting aside room for the Trump supporter to celebrate in safety from the ill informed, intolerant, bigoted leftist faculty and students or will their one sided leftist policies only cover their political views? (Rhetorical question, of course)

More Play-Doh and safe spaces for the Snowflakes. Anything to lower the stresses to their delicate and fragile feelings.

Sounds like they are polticking on the public dime. every one of these is from the Democrat viewpoint.

Ask these Libtards why they supported Obama-Hillary’s war against Momar Gaddafi and replaced him with Islamists after a warcrime torture, abuse, and murder that the Sec. of State took credit for?

Ask these Libtards why Bathhouse Barry called Afghanistan the right war (as opposed to Iraq) when Osama Bin Laden was being provided cover in Pockystahn?

Colleges are still largely closed—they should focus on reopening instead of the election

So what would their evaluation be if some ‘peaceful protestors’ decided that these institutions had been racis’ long enough and decided to have a bonfire at say, yale or hahvahd or princeton? Not that I would ever suggest that happening.

30 billion dollar endowments and government handouts (student loans and grants). Can life get any better?

Zero accountability

Screw them. They haven't accepted 2016 yet.

In the wake of 2016's election, I had some compassion for many on the losing side. But eventually, functioning adults are supposed to "cowboy up" and move on.

My patience is now exhausted, and my bleeding eardrums can take no more. I am utterly sick of the histrionics, hysteria, and hypocrisy of Libtards shrieking about how Trump is a threat to democracy while the Democrats talk about radical changes to our government structure and their media toadies and Big Tech bankrollers engage in North Korean style censorship and propaganda while Antifa employs Venezuelan-style thuggery to claim the streets.

I am getting ready for martial law--how much worse could it be than what we already have with COVID?
