Depends what the mask is for. This mask works well for it's intended purpose.

If they did, why are the number of cases increasing in the areas/regions requiring that they be worn in public?

For Covid transmission?

Mostly no. Like 90% mostly no.

Look at it this way. Masks reduce the risk of getting Covid. Just like driving slower reduces the risk of killing yourself in a car crash.

my mother, who was my 90 year old grandmother’s care taker, went out only two times in the last month... 1 time to CVS, another time to the grocery store. She wore a mask both times. My mother contracted Covid (tested positive). Unfortunately, she gave it to my grandmother (tested positive). Long story short, my grandmother passed away Sunday morning from Covid in the hospital after about 10 days of fighting it. Was at her ‘bedside’ when she passed via facetime. Been a rough few days. The ONLY way my mother could’ve contracted it was when wearing a mask at either the grocery store or at CVS. This is in a small town in New Mexico.

Slows velocity of exhaled spewage. Intake, meh. Masks are not efficient due to the size of the virus. Sheesh, again ? 😷😲🙌

Proper masks and PPE procedures work. Unfortunately the “experts” and media have fooled a majority of the people in the US in to believing that their lives depend on wearing cloth masks. It’s almost criminal in my eyes, and when something really bad comes along (and it will) people are going to die in droves, because they will turn to their trusty cloth masks for defense.

According to Democrats trolling conservative social media, neither masks nor any other measure will work for old Republicans voting next Tuesday. If we vote, we die.

Republicans, ignore the Democrat campaign of lies and fear. Wear masks. Vote! Your country is calling you!

Democrats plan to give statehood to Puerto Rico and Washington D.C...and maybe a California split to afford even more Democrat electoral votes. That’s another part of the plan to permanently prevent a Republican majority in the Senate.

Then there’s the plan for ending the legislative filibuster and instituting absolute gun control including a return to pistol bans. You see, after the takeover, they’ll own the military and police forces and plan to make examples of a few people every week with pre-dawn raids for firearms confiscations in nearly every locale: a campaign of terror and control.

That’s what you really have to fear. Vote next Tuesday! Vote like your lives and the lives of your descendants depend on it!

I’ve worked in healthcare since 1991. I know with certainty the answer is NO.

I noticed my dentist’s mask as he was repairing my tooth. It fit perfectly around its perimeter. like a sock. I asked him where he got it. He gets them from the Dentist Association and they are not available to the public. It was a N-95.

I compare this to buying a tire that leaks air. As you drive down the freeway, it goes flat and you loose control of you care and die in the accident. Meanwhile, the few with special connections get the tires that don’t leak.

There is no correlation whatsoever. The “trend line” I plotted has a 0.02 correlation (1.0 means full correlation). When you take the outliers out (WY, RI, MS, DC, SD), the correlation drops to 0.01. In fact, some of the states with the worst RTs right now (NJ, CT, MA, RI) have the highest “mask wearing” percentages!

Furthermore, the graph is titled “Fewer covid-19 symptoms reported in states with higher rates of mask use” — which is completely wrong! The data do not graph symptoms, only the loose perceptions of individuals who “know” someone, who were surveyed.

Surprise surprise, a piece of cloth you can see light thru does not stop viruses which are smaller than the wavelength of visible light.

On November 4th will we finally stop hearing from these covidiots or are we in for a season of orgasmic delight of fear mongering from now until next hurricane season? Asking for a friend😁

You know what works? What we have done for years.

Cover you mouth when you cough, and wash your hands. Simple, effective, and best of all, it does not stomp on your freedoms.

The biggest invention, in the history of stopping viruses and such from moving through humanity, is SOAP. Number two is not even close.

There is no reason for social distancing. There is no reason for masks. There are however, many reasons to resist tyranny.

I don’t think health care believe they work. We walk buy a Dr’s office each morning and they require patients to wait outside, socially distanced with a face mask. My daughter in law needs to get an ultrasound. My son can not go in with her even if they both wear masks. So clearly health care shows with their actions they do not believe in them.

As a health care worker who is required to wear a mask, let me explain about the most commonly worn masks.

The regular masks that are accordion-type, do not prevent Covid. Period. They are good protection against someone sneezing or coughing in your face, but the risk of getting Covid, if THEY are infected, is still high. The N-95 masks are still not 100% against viruses. We try to wear these at work bc we are highly exposed, but even at the age of 72, I have not contracted it. I figure that I have developed immunity by now. I have not come into contact with anyone with more than minimal symptoms. Maybe a fever once, or tested positive and asymptomatic.

The Lord is still in control. I think that we can comply with the use of masks where they are required. The pandemic is still on and it could get worse, but maybe not. Too early to tell. I’d like to see Fauci & Birx get sacked, but we still need to be reasonable people, and take caution when the risk increases. We conservatives are the people of science, not just feelings, so stay informed and make reasonable choices.

However, we’ve had a few inmates die from Covid. Yes, I’m an RN at a prison, but we have t go to the dorms and take vital signs twice a day. This has been going on from May to the present time.

My mother-in-law is 94. She has returned to going to church now, they all wear masks, and so far she has been fine. I think that for most, they will not come down with a serious case, But wearing masks is questionable as to whether it would stop your getting the virus, if directly exposed. It’s better than nothing, and it’s better than being beaten to near death by a rabid mask-wearer that thinks you’re endangering everyone’s life if you don’t. Do I like it? NO! However, the Bible states not to offend others intentionally, sort of (not exactly) the weaker brother argument.

I can tell from the regulations here in Colorado that public officials don’t think masks work. Even when they tell you that you have to wear one indoors at all establishments. How? Because in restaurants you can take off your mask while at a table with your friends as long as you are eating or drinking. How the Hell does the at of shoving food or guzzling booze prevent you from being infectious?? How does the act of putting a plate of bagels on a table suddenly means everyone can take off their mask and noone gets the COVID?? Absurd.
