That’s looking in the wrong direction for how masks work. An uninfected person wearing a mask gains minimal protection. The value of the mask is that it reduces the volume and range of the respiratory droplets that carry SARS-CoV-2 FROM an already infected person’s nose and mouth.
Everyone expels respiratory droplets while breathing, speaking, singing, coughing, or sneezing. You can only see the largest of them (>50um). By trapping those droplets, masks reduce the risk of people who are infected (most of whom will show only mild or no symptoms at all) from infecting others. Your recommendation doesn’t make any sense.
Maybe it might be nice if these scientists were actually able to publish their scientific findings on their study specifically about masks.
One can only conclude the scientific findings go against conventional wisdom, political ideology, And the government dictates. And governments hate to be shown that they are wrong.
