How little things have actually changed.

Back in the day the progressive “truth teller” Upton Sinclair wrote Boston as an exoneration of Sacco and Vanzetti despite being told by their lawyer that they’d murdered the men they robbed.

He did so because it would sell better with his readers, particularly in Europe.

Yes, indeed, and Sacco and Vanzetti were heroes in numerous plays, literary works, and even art works. The creators of all of these things were fashionably left wing, of course.

While the two were finally (justifiably) executed, the trials and judgments were the sort of circus we now see with the left’s latest victim-heroes.

Gov. Dukakis of Massachusetts even pardoned them years later.

The left hasn’t changed over the years, and they know a good propaganda moment when they see one. Facts be damned.
