President Donald Trump was one of those GOP voters going to the polls, kicking off Floridas statewide in-person early voting period Saturday by casting his ballot in West Palm Beach and livestreaming an event to urge supporters to show up and catch Democrats.
[As Trump early voted Saturday, he deadpanned: I voted for a guy named Trump.]
Further south, in Miami, former President Barack Obama held a rally for his former vice president, Joe Biden, at Florida International University.
The split-screen schedule of the two presidents, each of whom carried Florida with different voter coalitions, shed light on the different strategies of the two campaigns in Trumps must-win state, with the president trying to supersize older and white voter turnout and Obama seeking to boost young Black and Latino voting.
One of the biggest shortcomings in 2016 was Hillary Clinton was unable to assemble the Obama coalition, especially among younger Black voters and especially among younger Black men. The Biden campaign has accurately identified that thats a challenge they need to overcome this time, said Tom Bonier, CEO of the Democratic data firm TargetSmart.
So Obama [going] there is probably one of the items on the checklist and why the Obama visit makes sense.
According to TargetSmarts analysis, Black voters aged 18 to 29 have cast 15.8 percent of the total ballots so far in Florida. Thats half a percentage point down from the same period in 2016...

There was a shocking jump in black support for trump the past few days in Rasmussen nationwide polls.
This confirmed by a state poll for Michigan by another polling outfit.
If this effect is nationwide, there is going to be an epic shift in polling results for Trump in the coming days.
Fix bayonets!!!!
C’mon man, Biden is ahead by fifty points.
Rasmussen poll is a fake poll used to make money, headlines and influence people the numbers are fake they only release credible numbers day before election and are still off most times. Case in point OH.
No actually the favorability ratings seem to reflect what is going on at the moment. A little lower after the supreme Court pick and the usual short attention spans wore off and he’s back above 50. You mentioned case in point and you just say one word. Ohio. how about a bunch of case in points with data backing it up.
Do some work before saying something so strong
AZ is very worrisome...just saying.
Relax on AZ—the polls are lying.
This will be an easy victory for the President.
This is a link to what many here believe are the “real” numbers—you will be able to compare them to the results on election night and see how they track—post #13 on this link:

This poll shows the President with a five point lead in AZ.
Blacks voting nearly unanimously for democrats = enlightened
Whites voting nearly unanimously for Republicans = racist
Trump talked about his internal polling today noting a Red Wave is rising.
With Biden committing political suicide at the debates(abolishing the oil industry), it fair to say Biden’s numbers are tanking.
Susquehanna*
Biden 46, Trump 47
Yeah but the democrats will still be voting in January.
However, there were numerous big outreach programs to blacks this year: Candace Owen’s Blexit and others including Diamond and Silk.
I raised my eyebrows today when it was reported that President Trump had assembled yet another spontaneous crowd—this time for the sole purpose of watching him vote!
After he finishes his second term, he should run for Pope.
Or get the 22nd Amendment repealed. Please excuse my reiterating that. I know I've said on a previous thread or two. We'll have to wait and see if I'm turning into Miss Cleo reincarnated.
Been getting a funny vibe about it for several months. Not sure if it's a genuine premonition or just wishful thinking. Time will tell. One step at a time. On to Electdion Day 2020.
I think the article meant blacks 18-29 have cast about 16% of the votes cast by people age 18-29, not the total cast of all ages. But it is good information on how Republicans and Democrats are voting up to October 24, 2020. Republicans need to catch up.
“After he finishes his second term, he should run for Pope.”
I wish he could. What he should do, however, is appoint a few Bishops. If the Chicoms can do it, why not the President. At the very least, he should make a few suggestions. He’d make much better choices than the Pope, I’ll tell you that.
