The point that is always missed in the oil vs. solar/wind debate is that petroleum is not just used as a fuel, but is also an ingredient in the manufacturing of thousands upon thousands of products. I wish someone had coached Trump to say that you couldnt make a Tesla automobile without oil. From the tires, to the plastics, to the batteries, to wiring insulation, and on...and on...and on...a Tesla couldnt exist without oil, and that will NEVER change.
You also need some fossil fuel energy to make the solar panels and windmills.
Excellent point. I forgot what car it was, but they used “eco friendly” material to make wiring insulation and quickly learned mice loved it and chewed up wiring harnesses left and right.
Well, technically plastics are made from natural gas liquids.
I guess then we'll have to go back to killing whales for sperm oil.
Totally agree, but with President Trump, at this point in his life and circumstance, he’s not as articulate as when he was younger and given leisurely time to answer. His strategy, using what he has within his command mentally, looks like a mental game of boxing, or The Art of War, neither of which I know much about.
Trump is not a spokesman for laissez-faire Capitalism, which disappointed me until I realized his brain works differently than mine. He has a wide grasp of the way the world works that few men alive can equal. And he loves to get in the ring and fight. Tonight Biden said, “C’mon man! Where do you come from!?”
President deadpans, “Queens.”
