Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (R) on Wednesday urged President Trump to not focus on Hunter Biden during the second and final presidential debate, saying it would be "a mistake."
The former GOP presidential candidate argued during an appearance on "Fox & Friends" that "the average person doesn't understand" the "complicated" nature of the story around the younger Biden and how it pertains to his father, Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.
“Forget about all the distractions of everything except one thing: Remind the American people that it is their lives that really on the mark right now," Huckabee said on Fox News, where he is a contributor.
"But he’s leading with Hunter Biden,” co-host Brian Kilmeade noted, referring to allegations about the younger Biden's business ties that Trump and his allies have raised recently. “Is that a mistake?”
“Yes, it is a mistake,” Huckabee replied. “Because the average person doesn’t understand it. It’s too complicated. And frankly, it doesn’t matter to them."
"They care about their health care costs. They care about their taxes. They care about safety in their neighborhood on their block," he added. "Focus on that, and he wins the election by a landslide."
Trump and Biden will square off in Nashville, Tenn., on Thursday night in their final showdown just 12 days ahead of the Nov. 3 election. The debate is expected to draw more than 70 million viewers.
Biden is on record multiple times saying he never discussed Hunter’s business dealings, so that is where to focus. And the Bobulinski statement from last night gives him all the ammo he needs for that.
If he goes into the pics and porn stuff, he’s just going to cloud the real issue: Joe Biden lied.
Let law enforcement deal with the porn; Trump’s opponent is Joe, and he can now prove him to be a liar.

I won't doubt if a little more then a few Republicans are the same way. Basically to put it another way, the Devil could run on the Democrat party ticket and probably 95% of the people would still vote for him, many people see Republican/Christian voters as hypocrites and hate them for it, whether they are or not. The reality is Liberals, Communists, atheists, and Christians in name only have no real deep moral code or no moral code like God's moral code.

The thing that amazes me is how conservative commentators want to criticize, rightfully so, Biden’s healthcare plans. Unfortunately, the policy wonk starts to “live loudly” in them. I am referring to their scathing denunciation of “single payer” insurance.
8 out of 10 Americans have no clue what “single payer” insurance involves and what it is. They should be told.
It means taxpayer supported medical care. The taxes will come from payroll deductions. It means Americans, through payroll taxes, will pay for illegal aliens’ medical costs.
It means rationed care. It means that Americans will have their medical care prescribed by faceless government employees and NOT by their doctors.
It means pain killers only for people over 75 and for young people whose health care costs are computed to be more than they can contribute to society over the long haul.
This is just for starters.

Yeah. He wasn’t referring to us. He was referring to the Dumbasses on the left. I understand what he’s getting at.
I’m sick of it as well, if all Trump talked about was Biden Corruption, it would not be all that effective, but if he ties it to the destruction of the middle class by selling out to China, then it can have a major impact...
To remove the corruption angle from the debate is an unforced error and suicide...
So... I.E. The average person doesn’t understand corruption when they see it? I think the average person can figure out that if Hunter is receiving millions from foreign governments, that he wasn’t receiving millions for his intelligence... He was receiving it because his dad was VP, and his dad received a cut from those millions. So Biden is the only candidate who’s truly been influenced by foreign powers.
And he’s actually right.
They don’t care. Because they have no integrity.
He said they care about more pressing issues.
But the truth is even without those pressing issues, the left doesn’t care about corruption or graft or even sexual abuse if it means they’ll lose an election.

This statement makes Huckabee look really bad on a number of different levels.
No it doesn't - not entirely. There are a whole lot of people who really don't care that much about the Biden scandal right now. As others here have rightfully noticed, those on the left mostly don't care. The Biden scandal is not the big deal of the day to people who've lost or are losing their jobs, income and/or homes due to the election infection. The actions of Hunter Biden and the "Big Guy" are a ways down on the concern list of folks with significant health or health care issues.
Man, the huckster sure has a problem with the biden information coming out. Me wonders if fat mike is somehow implicated in either Burisma or the chinee cash for selling out the US scheme?

I would agree. I don’t want Biden to get any sympathy over this. Bring it up once, then let it go. We have got them on the ropes anyway. From a 20 plus year member of FR.
Trump didn't get where he by being mister nice guy. I'd take one of those interrupted 2 mins. a lay out the case for the criminal behavior of Joe Biden. Then we can move on to other topics.
