Absolutely true-— ever since the Vanderbilts destroyed the top of one mountain and bought up all the local mtn people’s property for the “estate”. Put a railroad in just to haul construction supplies up to “Biltmore”... the house that Vander...built. And then the family just...dissolved along with the Astors.

What family remains lives in the top floor of Biltmore and tours/rents the bottom part and has a winery— and extensive high end mtn development homes— very high end. Not a whole lot to do with ... REAL NC. imho.

Why even bother sending her anywhere? or Joe? They clearly had markers for people to stand, so if you are only going to let 5, 10, 50 people come - what are they trying to accomplish? Why not just do online “rallies” on Youtube?

You will also find not one of them is knowledgeable about history, either. Zero intellectual curiosity about what went before, why great societies were built or collapsed, the immutable aspects of human nature, why people flee totalitarianism for freedom, how freedom and liberty can disappear.

My oldest daughter is like that. She accused me of not listening to her positions. I simply told her I don’t brook communism or totalitarianism, our family fled that 75 years ago, and there is no way she can convince me those are good systems for humans.
