(CNN)Six Russian military officers were charged on Monday for hacking into software using destructive malware to black out thousands of computers and cause nearly $1 billion in losses, actions that the Justice Department says were intended to support Russian government efforts to undermine, retaliate against, or otherwise destabilize worldwide computer networks.

The alleged hackers are officers of the Russian Main Intelligence Directorate (GRU), a military intelligence agency of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, the Justice Department said.

Did they take the names out of a Russian Interior Ministry phone directory, like Mueller did?

I call BS. No reason why the GRU would be tasked with such a thing.

hacking into software using destructive malware to black out thousands of computers...

That is the most vague description of a hacking attack. Thousands of computers? Really? Usually widespread hacks hit millions of computers. And what does "black out" mean? That is not an IT term.

Maybe someone could explain why destroying worldwide computer networks would be an advantage for Russia?

By the way, this is eerily reminiscent to the pathetic charge by the Mueller investigation against a group of Russian "hackers". Hackers who then, unexpectedly (!!) showed up in U.S. court to challenge the FBI charges.

Low and behold, the U.S. prosecutors then dropped the case after howling the the defense team was "weaponizing" the case. And how ere they "weaponizing" the case? They asked for discovery. (How dare they ask for what every defendant in court is allowed!!).

DOJ deep state members hoping to help the Dim’s “Russian disinformation” charge vis a vis the Hunter Biden scandals.

That is the ONLY reason the DOJ is making this public notice this week.

“From November 2015 to October 2019, “their computer attacks used some of the world’s most destructive malware to date”

This is a bit like a retrospective on the New England Patriots last Superbowl Championship while Tom Brady calls signals for Tampa Bay. Regardless how you feel about it... it’s old news.

This is probably how the dems invalidate the election ... hack the hell out of it so no one will beleive the results. Since they can’t win they will blow up the stadium before/during the event so no winner can be determined.
