I see a dozen other definitions, many dated years before now, that are consistent with the non-lethal definition and no mention of killing. I’ve seen the term used in books that I read long before yesterday that sue it to mean reject or put aside, again consistent with the non-lethal definition. Do you think they changed them all and backdated them by a decade or two? Reprinted those books and updated my memory on the fly?
Stop with the paranoia bullshit - you make it harder to deal with real problems.
