Kirstie Alley responds to 'nasty,' 'horrible' people criticizing her support for Trump

Kirstie Alley responded with words of encouragement after getting dragged on social media for declaring her continued support for President Trump in the upcoming election.

The “Cheers” actress took to Twitter on Saturday evening to explain to her followers why she voted for Trump in the 2016 election and plans to do so again on Nov. 3 in his reelection bid against Democratic challenger Joe Biden.

“I’m voting for @realDonaldTrump because he’s NOT a politician,” Alley, 69, began. “I voted for him 4 years ago for this reason and shall vote for him again for this reason. He gets things done quickly and he will turn the economy around quickly. There you have it folks there you have it.”

One of the primary reasons I'm voting for Trump. Career politicians are typically low achievers, people who weren't smart enough or ambitious enough to succeed in the private sector. Career politicians do excel at play-acting for constituents, telling them what they want to hear and then betraying them once in office. Career politicians share many traits with actors, and that's not a compliment.

I'd rather have a man like Trump who succeeded in the private sector, created jobs, built things, paid taxes. I don't care if he hurts anyone's feelings - that's a bonus.

Good for her! She is allowing Hollywood to “celebrate diversity” for having an original thought rather than be force-fed the same tired philosophy from the left. I am sure they will be more than accepting her stance. Right? That latter part is sarcasm.

Do people like Rob Reiner and other celebrities think for one minute that they will unite this country with their attacks on our president and his supporters? Their refusal to accept the last election or even note the positive things Trump has done for the majority of American citizens has served as a major divider these past 3 1/2+ years. Only bad things can happen as they and their communist friends continue to criticize without solutions, act violently, and cause discord among families and friends.

I, too, like the character Rebecca Howe better, but Shelly Long was the best actor that show ever had. After she left it became an ensemble, but until then it was the Shelly Long show.
