Scientists studying climate change say that the re-election of Donald Trump could make it "impossible" to keep global temperatures in check.
They're worried another four years of Trump would "lock in" the use of fossil fuels for decades to come - securing and enhancing the infrastructure for oil and gas production rather than phasing them out as environmentalists want. Joe Biden's climate plan, the scientists argue, would give the world a fighting chance.
In addition to withdrawing from the Paris climate agreement - the international pact designed to avoid dangerous warming of the Earth - President Trump's team has worked hard to remove what they see as obstacles to efficient energy production.
Over the past three years, researchers at Columbia University in New York have tracked more than 160 significant rollbacks of environmental regulations. These cover everything from car fuel standards, to methane emissions, to light bulbs.
This bonfire of red tape has occurred at the same time that the US is reeling from several years' worth of severe wildfires in western states. Many scientists have linked these fires to climate change.

These Biden voters have NO idea what they’re voting for.
If Biden wins, they’ll blame Trump when gas goes up to $5.00/gallon or more and when their homes are hit with rolling blackouts during 110 degree heat (as happened recently in California as the governor is all-in with punitive Climate change initiatives) - because the entire country now relies on “natural” and far weaker sources of energy such as solar and wind power.
They won’t connect that this is exactly what they voted for.
My brother recently solar paneled his home and is grateful to be off the grid. Think I’ll do the same.
Climate change is so 2019. The death virus and lack of commuting has solved that.

Do these “scientists” understand that human beings and their effect on the environment are like a bacteria sticking to a beachball. The answer is an emphatic “NO!”.
US carbon emissions have gone down even while many signatories of the Paris accord have increased carbon emissions. In fact, America’s emissions decline has been the largest of any major industrialized country and more than that of the EU by far.
Yet STILL they beyotch and whine.

As would I, if I could find a contractor who isn't a fly-by-night crook. Solar seems to be overloaded with those. I've got neighbors who have roofs bedecked with big glass panels less useful than wind chimes. Plus I'm in PA and the sun doesn't always show up :(
