This is where the DC swamp creatures just dont get it. The communities that are hurt the most by illegal immigration are the Latino and Black communities.
Josè Bidet no es mucho macho. Es un pendejo.
Boy I hope hispanics are waking up to the identity politics that dems use on them.
My pop told me Italians started voting more and more Republican staring in the early 70s when they realized they were being bamboozled by dems.
It’s also probably because each generation got further away from the socialist past in the old country.
I think we will see that with hispanics.
I could be wrong :)

Being born and raised in CA I can attest to this assertion.
Hispanic men born here, often second or third generation (sometimes more) are little different than your average redneck.
I know many.
They are the half of Hispanic males that will vote.
But their wives, like ours, are solidly Democratic. And their kids, like ours, are generally stupid.
Just sayin’.
I’m not at all sure the Democrats plans for dominating future elections are going to pan out like they think they are. They’re banking on Latinos voting for them forever. Historical trends and several current factors indicate this is probably false.
- New Immigrants do tend to vote Democrat. The longer they are in America however, the more likely they are to vote Republican.
- Latinos are overwhelmingly Catholic. White Catholics vote Republican at a rate only a couple percentage points below the rate at which Evangelicals vote Republican.....there was a time when Democrats dominated among Irish Americans or Italian Americans etc. That hasn’t been the case for a long time however.
- lots of Latinos are in fact and consider themselves to be.......brace for it........White.
- lots of Latinos have family values and a strong work ethic as well as a healthy distrust of government given their experiences. There is MUCH for the Republicans to work with here......
- rates of intermarriage for both Latinos and Asians are 50% in the first generation which is a staggeringly high percentage for immigrant groups historically. These people are being integrated quickly. That’s unavoidable when your spouse is a native.
It will take outreach and yes, in the short term many will likely continue to vote Democrat due to the promises of free stuff, but over time I think it likely most Latinos will go the same way as other immigrant groups in the past...indeed the same way Cubans have gone - Democrats at first and staunch Republicans now.
