She is a better man than I.
The Senate Judiciary Committee has scheduled a vote to approve Judge Amy Coney Barretts nomination to the Supreme Court before her confirmation hearings have even ended.
Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham scheduled a committee vote for 9 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, the morning of the last day of hearings. Barretts nomination is expected to be brought up for a vote at that meeting and then delayed for a week, per committee rules.
If that happens as expected, the GOP-led committee would then vote to approve her nomination Thursday, Oct. 22. That would set up a final confirmation vote on the Senate floor the week of Oct. 26.
Republicans are moving quickly to confirm Barrett before the presidential election Nov. 3. Unless circumstances change, Republicans are expected to have the votes to approve the nomination in committee and for final confirmation on the floor.
And to answer your question, today was the last day of questioning.
I thought they had another 10-minutes each tomorrow?
No he was a tight end in college!
Grassley always sounds like Jack Benny.
Yes, she sounded like your typical leftist professor, trying to out-woke your average African-American mom. Apparently filling her kids with BS about our racist country and that he black son is in real danger at the hands of the police.
I fear another John Roberts at best.
Too far out for my taste. And probably that of a LOT of people on this board.
Twelve days. More than enough time for an accuser to be produced by Hirono and Feinstein. After Hirono's questioning yesterday, I'm almost expecting it.
Teachers are often denigrated with the comment Those who can, do; those who cannot, teach.... I think what we saw from ACB showed what an amazing grasp of the details and facts of a subject a person has after being a teacher. When you are teaching, you need to be able to answer many questions without looking things up. She was teaching highly intelligent students at Notre Dame Law school. She had to have a total grasp of so many cases, legal technicalities, the Constitution, etc. which only became stronger the longer she taught.
Her knowledge, together with her super high intellect and demeanor makes her a great choice. Thank you, PDJT
Youve described ACB - and who /what/how shes having to handle this situation, perfectly!
Thanks for that post!
Exactly. Big Shot , arrogant Kamala will never have what Amy will: respect and a life-long job.
That is because she was in black face for the debate.
“ACB is being worn down by countless hours of drilling. She will then make massive errors.
Not even remotely true. Errors like that only happen when one lies. Barrett has no reason to do anything but tell the truth and that is what she has done.
She also didn’t waste time, energy, and mental gymnastics trying to rely on notes or having a group of “advisors” surrounding her - only family. That clean, wholesome environment was reflected in the clarity of her thoughts and her unhindered manner of speech. There are many lessons to be learned from her beyond the life she lives as a Constitutionalist.
Durbin about to cry.
Pathetic loser.
Amy about to cry.
Pathetic loser.
... is anyone else watching, today?
I just started watching...appears Blumenthal is calling for a delay and insinuating there may be new information about Barrett.
This is unwatchable. The Republicans aren’t saying much, and each Democrat is whining on and on and on (it seemed like Sparticus lisped for about a half hour). Now that spastic jack-off Whitehouse is bloviating. Ugh.
Rush can’t come on soon enough.
October 22nd is TOO LONG to wait. Hirono or Feinstein will come up with a dirty trick and attempt to stop this in its tracks.
Perhaps a disgruntled former student (male or female, doesn’t matter) who was ‘traumatized’ by some perceived slight from Barrett, or worse.
You know it’s coming. Feinstein will hold up a letter and here we go again!
The Dems are dirty when they get up in the morning and dirty when they go to bed at night.
Im watching and am disgusted with what I am hearing from the Republicans, at least when they are allowed to talk. So tired of hearing about RBG.
