WSB radio just announced Trump will not participate in the virtual debate next week. That's all I have so far.

Edited to add:

Pres Trump: "I'm not going to waste my time on a virtual debate." Fox Business interview with Maria Bartiromo

A great pick in my opinion. I think Larry Elder should be part of the Trump team, secretary of sanity maybe?

Re: 266: If he could just debate like a decent person like last night’s Pence performance, he COULD WIN THIS WALKING AWAY.

But, for whatever reason, he refuses to do it and take defeat from victory.

I would disagree with your statement that President Trump could win this "walking away".

There is significant group of people in the bureaucracy and media that would be just as anti-Trump and do whatever they could to assure Trump is defeated even if Biden soiled his pants on the debate stage and started talking baby talk.

It is going to be a fight all the way, regardless of how well President Trump does in the debate.

And I believe that a virtual debate allows moderators who are less than objective to exert more control over the debate based on their bias. With that said, President Trump needs to present himself in an alternate venue that gets the most bang for the buck.

HE MUST GIVE REASONS TO VOTE FOR HIM AGAIN not just call names. Period.

If only it were that simple.

Re: 226:

How you make your point is less than optimal:

“...because he can’t act like a decent human for even five friggin minutes.”

Your post is likely to subject you to closer scrutiny on FR.

I saw that, I drew a different conclusion. I thought she made two points:

We "love" Chris.

"It's a difficult job."

That tells me they were directed to defend Wallace. It wasn't all that heartfelt, IMO.

“Averaging bad polls is silly.”

I agree. The averaging includes the far out polls such as those from CNN and the Fox poll.

It’s been four years and Trump’s ‘luck’ hasn’t run out ... maybe that’s because it isn’t ‘luck’ it’s years of experience.

Often the way to good judgement is by having bad judgement.... an advantage older people have over younger people.

Trump will figure it out...

Remember when he ran the first time against seasoned Republican politicians? Trump had never been elected to a small town city council at the time... or as dog catcher in a medium city.

Then after defeating 13 of our best - he went on to defeat the Republican Establishment, the Democrat Establishment, the liberal press, corrupt ‘intelligence’, the State Department, the Deep State, and Hillary Clinton.

You think that was luck?

You must be very young... or a liberal.

I don’t know if Trump can over come a pandemic, the usual intelligence thugs, the still corrupt deep state, and Biden and the Clinton machine... but if anyone can it’ll Trump.

"As for the Democrats, Norpoth said that the sheer number of candidates and the inability of any one of them to get off to a fast start may have doomed the party from the start.

“People have forgotten how Joe Biden did in New Hampshire,” said Norpoth. “He was terrible. He got 8.4 percent of the vote, which is unbelievable for a candidate with any aspirations of being president.”

Norpoth's model puts it right out there -- that Joe Biden's candidacy was simply taken as a challenge to Jo O'Malley-Dillon (Bebo's fat chair) to put a mummy over on the American public. The Kosmopolitarianat thought they were up to that challenge, but then things like last night keep happening that remind them Biden is going to lose, and that their real goal is pumping a billion dollars through the Kosmopolitarianat so none of them have to work for the next four years.

Which will come in handy for the upper #MSM because the post-election firings coming to NYT and WaPo and Comcast/MSNBC and CNN and Vice and Buzzfeed are going to freak out even people on this website.

Losing the election in a landslide?

I'm interested in some of that action.

How much are you willing to donate to FR when you lose?

Not just shut down mic, take him off the screen.

Let's not forget the inevitable "technical difficulties."

Trump should offer HidenBiden some of his newly formed Covid antibodies...

Joe's body would lock up at the introduction of Trumpian super juice.

If polls were accurate and honest, President Hillary Clinton would be running for reelection right now. Better to trust your own instincts about the state of the race than the polls.

The polls are psyops, nothing more.

You should know that completely biased people, using the Enemy-Of-The-People Goebbels Mushroom(Keep 'em in the dark. Feed 'em bullsh*t)Media outlet CNN (most school districts use it as a teaching tool?!) are saying that POTUS is ducking the debate!😡!

They made no mention of the way President Trump and team were treated-not even asked about the last minute change-that was made by the laughably non partisan presidential debate commission.

“ How would they assure us that Biden is not wired or checking a teleprompter in a virtual debate?”

At the very least he’d be reading his answers off a teleprompter (We’ve seen him do this in interviews). Even more likely, he’d get the questions in advance and record his answers and just play them, so he didn’t mess even the teleprompter up. On top of that, the Leftist moderator could cut Trump off The feed whenever he felt like it. A virtual debate would be a set up.
