Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer railed against the state Supreme Court's decision to strike down her orders to extend a coronavirus-related state of emergency past April 30 without legislative approval.
This threat is still very real and the sad irony is on the day that the president was admitted to the hospital with the very virus he called a hoax, the Supreme Court in Michigan undermined my emergency rule, my emergency orders that Ive had to enact that puts us in the same state as all other states in this nation, to save lives, Whitmer said on CNN's "State of the Union" on Sunday.
"Weve saved thousands of lives and the Supreme Court, on a slim majority Republican vote, undermined that effort," Whitmer continued, adding that two Michigan Supreme Court justice seats are up for election.

A bucket of water should do the trick if someone can catch her her when she’s not flying around on her broom.
Time for the dunking chair for that bitch. She floats? She is guilty and burn her at the stake. She sinks and drowns, then she aint guilty.
“Shes all t*ts and no brains...”
If those were brains she’d be a conservative.
But, they helped her get some horn dog votes, abortion got her the fem vote and pot got her the dope vote
Let the lawsuits begin.
Wrong Answer. How about the Supreme courts rules that it is unconstitutional to subvert our representative government. Especially for a period any longer than those representatives could meet and act through the legislature.
Something needed to be done six months ago, before this nonsense got off the ground. The Michigan Supreme Court appears to be on the right track, but Evers got shut down by the SC in Wisconsin, waited two months and started barking orders all over again.
The easiest thing is for everyone to just ignore what the orders, but under threat of litigation and loss of license, businesses won’t defy them.
The snowflake average Joes and Janes who cling to their mask at the grocery store like it’s a miniature magic cloak are too gullible to cast off the mask and walk free.
It’s up to the legislatures to put the chains on the governors. But in states like Minnesota there are too many democrats in the legislature who “want the governor to have the power to deal with covid”, so round and round we go.
It’s a bizarre dystopian nightmare that no one would have believed could happen a mere seven months ago.
How many lives were lost because a lot of Americans couldnt get medical treatment for really serious problems? My husband needed a heart procedure that he was told would have to be done months from when his doctor ordered it due to the mandatory cutbacks in non-emergency surgeries. He had to badger the scheduling department for an appointment for the surgery, they squeezed him in sooner than the original date, but still weeks out. He could have very easily died waiting for the stent...the cardiologist told me he was in pretty bad shape when they got in there. He had a quadruple bypass in 2004 and one of the bypass areas had started to fail, but they didnt know that until they went in. He was having shortness of breath and an extremely high heart rate.
Makes one realize just how fragile this republic is nowadays, just like our fragile young men and women. Or, because of our fragile young men and women.
So we know for a fact the skank has no compunction about lying to the people of Michigan about the hoax allegation, so why should anyone believe her about a threat being very real???
That’s a good question too.
A bit of a delay may have been warranted for a couple of weeks for preparations and changes in procedures, but months?
Hospitals can tell if they are too crowded to do other procedures.
Better make sure we have a 6-3 (better 7-2 ) USSC court and somebody sends them the right cases.
I prefer the states find their own solutions. Kicking everything upstairs to the federal leviathan is why we’re in this mess.
