Two thoughts on all these conspiracy theories.
1) I think testing is becoming much more common - especially among public figures and celebrities. We will see lots of public figures testing positive simply because of all the testing.
2) Reporting that you tested positive is mostly voluntary. Republicans have no reason to hide it, but Democrats do. I would say if Biden tested positive, he would announce it right away because he wouldn’t want it to get out that he hid the fact. But lower level Democrats - I think they may be keeping it quiet when they test positive.
Remember, the Left controls the media and they think Republicans catching the virus is some kind of Karma. They want the narrative that Red states are having case surges. They want the narrative that Trump rallies are “super spreader” events. It is all bullshit - but that’s what they do.
Is it that much of a stretch that they would highlight Republicans testing positive while sweeping Democrat cases under the rug? I don’t think so.
So my belief is that we are going to see an uptick in positives among Republican politicians because of more testing - and the fact that Republicans aren’t hiding the fact.
Soon enough, it will even out so that Democrats are testing positive just as often. The Democrats are just opportunistically trying to make it seem like President Trump and other Republicans are “getting what they deserve“ for “downplaying” covid.
I hope you are right! I don’t put anything past them.
